Not a chance, they like to sleep afterwards because it's both a stimulant and a depressant, but it won't hurt them.
They MAY eat so much fresh catnip that they'll throw it up later, but usually it's just a good old time for them.
If they get it all the time, then it turns into nothing special and they won't respond to it as much. I grow it and pick it here, make cat toys from it, and these guys all have access to the big box of dry catnip when I'm working with it. They pretty much ignore it now. The only dangerous part of the plant is the stem when it's dry, it can splinter and act like needles if they chew on it. I strip the leaves and flowers off when dry and toss the stems out in the garbage. The leaves and flowers won't hurt the cat unless they've been sprayed with weed killer or some other pesticide. Only pick safe catnip if you're doing it out in the wild.

I'm not exactly sure, but if you have given it too much, then it may hurt the cat. Nepeta or catnip is a drug that is a cross between hallucinogens and narcotics. Too much may cause damage, but i am not sure, however, I suggest you call a vet in the area and just ask if too much catnip is fatal. The cat may just be expiriencing the effects of the narcotic right now, but call a vet and make sure.

No. I read somewhere that only about 30% of cats respond to being a "kitten" after their nip.
I use the cat nip on occasion.........I watch their mood and then allow the catnip to enhance it, that way they don't become use to it.
I give my guys the "real stuff". I grow it from seed and only when that goes, I get the dried stuff. They like the real stuff better though.
I actually like the smell of the real catnip when I roll it between my fingers.
I have it in my garden growing wild

I don't think that you can give him too much, cats should be able to regulate their intake so that they don't overdose on it. More than likely he was just worn out after playing so hard while he was "high".
Keep an eye on him to make sure that he is alright, it is possible that he got into something else which is causing this reaction.
