The readers digest version for me is that I have always had questions, angels, who is God, but growing up never found answers. After I went into the Navy the chaplin for the command I was at started a bible study. After that study my mind was open to learn even more and some of my questions I found answers but I also starting having better questions. I started to study with an cult and drank eagerly from the information I thought at that time was correct. I repented and put my faith in Jesus Christ but the Jesus that the cult follows is not the true Jesus. After getting out of the Navy and several years of doing what I thought was correct in being a good christian, God the father had other ideas. After some very loving disipline to first get my attention and then to really educate me on what a true christian is and does and how they are suppose to live. Now I walk with faith and no worry, I know how God provides and takes care of His children, and with the gifts that I have been given I strive to be the steward that He wants me to be with them. Every day I thank Him for the gifts of family, kids, friends, and being able to tell others about His love and care, and what it really means to walk His walk and talk His talk.
Peace of the Lord be with you always, with His loving arms around you and your feet in His footsteps.

For me it all started with knowing that I had done wrong. Even at the age of 8, I had done wrong. I lived in a home which believed in G-d, so as Hebrews says" In order to come to G-d you must 1st believe that He IS"
Then in reading the O.T. I saw that G-d would someday send the Messiah(Jewish) or the Christ(Greek) into His creation.
By reading the Bible we learn that Christ is G-d. By reading history we learn and can support that only 1 man in all of time was ever Crucified by the Romans, charged by the Jewish leaders for stating that he was G-d.
As Christ said: As Jonah spent 3 days in the belly of a Sea Creature, so shall the Son of Man spend 3 days in the Ground. Then Christ rose from the dead after 3 hebrew days with over 500 eyewitnesses testifying that G-d was pleased with the life and sacrifice of the Messiah.
Start by reading the bible and praying. Then as you learn the voice of the Good Shepherd see where He leads you.
Welcome to the family :)
Also, many have used these facts as an occaision to hate the Jews, this ought not be. We as gentiles have recieved this news only after it came to them first.

I was born into a Christian family, went to church, but didn't really feel anything deeply. It was only recently that i experienced some things, some unfortunate incidents, which rocked my reality.
I tried everything I could, in my capacity. In the end, I felt burnt and exhausted. One day, i just knelt and prayed, and said, that I'm tired and I can't do anymore. That's when I felt His power and when God changes things, you really can't turn back.
I, now have the desire to know more and more about Him.
God bless :)

I grew up in church but i was 7 and i had really been thinking about becoming a christian. I asked Jesus into my heart and I am now liviing for Him. I doubt my salvation but the Bible says whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved so thats a reminder and He also says that no necan snatch them out of MY hands so that means i cant lose my salvation no matter what!!

Great Question!
I was only 4 years old when I asked Jesus to come into my heart. I was 7 when I was filled with the Holy Spirit!
I really started to get on fire for God when I was about 13 and I've been on fire ever since! Praise God!
I love getting emails from other People to love God with all their hearts! kelly_anne162000@yahoo.com

I found that I really came to know God through community.
I met my future husband in school - he went to church and joined a group at the university that shared his faith. Feeling so welcomed and loved by this community (and I envied my future husband's faith life) I began researching what it was that I believed. I read a few books and asked a lot of questions - with my growing understanding of the religion, my faith in God grew. I find it's always important to find answers to the things we don't understand - it helps deepen your love and understanding of God!
Never stop seeking truth - truth doesn't always agree with our personal thoughts!

I came to know Jesus as my savior in a non-denominational Christian church, where the focus was on the learning the scriptures, but it is the Spirit of God working in me and through others that brought me to Faith.

I was an EUB, then this later became methodist. I went to a Pentecostal type of church and heard a salvation message. I remembered them in the EUB church. One day, I realized my wretched condition, and could feel the doom, and prayed a salvation prayer.

God (Jesus Christ) reveals Himself to us through the Bible.
Gaining insight into His character and love will bring you to know Him, and ultimately, to love Him.
"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

It was not i who first LOVED GOD but GOD who first LOVED me. Not sure about all that whys and wherefores, just been a rough road of abuse, trial, tribulation, pain, sin, redemption, and we are still walking the road.
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.
