On the episode of South Park called: "Quest For Ratings", it said that if you drink an overdose of cough syrup you hallucinate and see things and its kinda like drugs. Is that true? And has anybody done it before? If so, does it work?
Thx! :)

Yes, it is true. I have not done nor tried it but encountered quite few who used it for recreational purposes. The dextromethorphan in its content makes the hallucinogenic effects which works similar to mixture of alcohol, opiates, and marijuana. High doses would result to, intense euphoria, vivid imagination, and hallucinations.

The bad thing is: with very high doses it can cause loss of consciousness and possibly temporary psychosis.

Another important thing to remember is that cough syrups contain other active ingredients such as guaifenesin, acetaminophen, and chlorphenamine. Any of those can cause permanent bodily damage, or even death.

Yep, it works! Never actually hallucinated on it though. It makes you feel like you're leaving your body (higher doses) hence it being classified as a dissociative.

An phoey on that chick that reported this question, all he said was "does it work?". Gosh people, you DO have the option of not clicking on stuff.
