Tell me how you did.

I went yesterday, (Wed) , with my kids & wife. (They swam & played in the lake while I fished from shore.) I caught 4 dink Bass, and two 2LBer's. Also, caught some "Sunny's" & my teenage daughter caught a nice 3 LB Bass on a little bitty 1/16 oz black maribou "crappie" Jig! (Another example of a "tiny" bait catching decent fish!)

It was a nice "family" day. I waded around the lake and got a leech on me! Yuck! (lol) My 4 yr old was fascinated,(Does it hurt Daddy? Is it a bug Daddy? Will it fly on me Daddy?) lol The leech was "the hit of the day" in her mind!

Hey Ingun-, I hear ya buddy! Sometimes, the "scenery" is better than the fishing, even if there pullin' 10 LBer's out! (lol)

Pheasant- Panco is awesome on fish! I thought I was the only one that fried'M that way?! "Rolling Rock" or "Leinenkugel" here! Roll-casting with a spinner/Funny!

Eric- Sounds like YOU had a great day! 20 trout! Wow! Did you cook them "Trout Almandine" style?

Mac- Yeah, I hear ya! I get "Lucky" sometimes! (lol)

Holbrook- Man, I wish I had the time to tourney fish as much as you do! Sounds like you caught a few!

Evo- Jeezzz! Hope your freezin' some of those fillet's! They taste better in the middle of the winter!(lol)

Mushroom- Black worm! Alright! And your hookin' some Cat's too?! Weird Cat's? I gotta go check your Q.

Eric- I read that wrong! Sorry! Not 20! That was the person answering above ya! Still, a good day of trout fishing, I hope? I know fresh Brookies sure taste good! BTW: I went yesterday,(SAT), Caught a mess of Bass(8-9 lost count after 8!) on a black "Gulp" minnow grub-body, (3) Northern's (1 was in the 32" realm), and (drum roll) 2 Wally's(small but keeper's!). Had a blast! Can't believe I caught some Wally's in the middle of the day, ('Course we were fishing in 25-30 FT water , at 1 point!).

I can't pick a "best answer", everyone answered well!

I have been slamming some good gills with a few redear in the mix on crickets I even took a couple pic's and filleted some for ma n pa and lil ole me of course! And by the way these bass are busting minnows big time here right now in the evenings!
I caught several until I got a bad case of R.A.S.D when my lure somehow tangled on the anchor rope during a side arm cast to of course some schooling 5lb bass!
I think it may have been caused by wind blowing my anchor line or me peering over the bow looking for some chicken of the sea.But of course being a knowledgeable fisherman that I am I am never distracted by a pontoon full of string bikini's none the less I think it may have been my buddies fault!
So after spending the next 20 plus minutes using directional unilateral controled manipulation(sorry for technical jargin) I was back to my normal catch and release of 5lb bass on every cast!

R.A.S.D (University studies have shown this can only be aquired by large schools of bass busting minnows at 3 foot from any boat)

I fished with a buddy on Lake Harding outside of Columbus, GA last Tuesday evening 6-9:30 pm...we were going to fish the "Wildcat" T they have there every Tuesday...he was late picking up his kids so we missed the T by about 10 minutes...we fished anyway...I caught a 11in Spotted Bass on a Firecracker color Spinner Bait at a bridge...he caught two at the bridge, one that was a little over 12 in caught on a white Spinner Bait and one the size of mine swimming a purple worm....we moved to a long point with some downed trees on it...my wife called and I miss a good one because I was talking to her...my buddy caught one more little one after dark or a rock point...we got a lot of bites, but only a few hook ups...not many fish, but nice to be on the water...I have to practice the in the next couple of weeks for a Club T on West Point Lake...it is a 8pm to 8 am T...fun, fun, fun...especially since the lake is down about 7 feet...lol

I took a day off with the long rod and went with a friend of mine for crappie. I got yelled at for false casting with a spinning rod. I never knew minnows could fly that far !

After re-learning the subtle nuances of opening the bail
and picking up line with my index finger I was actually able to cast reasonably well. I never realized you did not have to
"taper" the monofilament to the hook and received some strange looks while tieing blood knots.

Nonetheless, we managed to catch a dozen slabs off of submerged brushpiles (you spinning guys have this real neat device called a "fishfinder").

The filets were properly prepared by rolling in seasoned Panco and fried in peanut oil. Served with boiled little red potatoes in butter and parsley and a fresh garden salad.
Bass Ale, of course.

Next time out, I promise not to wear my waders on the boat.

Going out about 3 days a week and bringing home my limit of blue gills "50" everyday. Plucking them off the beds. I eat fish year round two times a week.

Using a number 10 cricket hook and pieces of night crawlers, no weights

The last time I went out was Saturday. I went fly fishing for some rainbows. It was slow for everybody at first and then I tied on a trusty hare's ear and pulled them in one after another and then we had to go home. I kept 2 for dinner. It sounded like you had a fun time.

Hey, I try to go every day with a friend. Been very hot lately, not many bites for anyone. Usually go for bass/trout.

I saw a fisherman pick up a 31-inch striped bass in the Jones Inlet suds. When you catch them you say it's skill. When someone else catches them you say it's luck.
