"Salisbury" Steaks: Mix the ground meat with a package of dry vegetable soup mix (or any dry soup mix you like...different varieties will give you a slightly different but delicious result ). Form into patties and pan-fry. When patties are just cooked through, add a jar of gravy (beef, turkey, or chicken gravy, it doesn't matter). Simmer the cooked patties in the gravy for 10 minutes or so. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice; it is good with either one. Delish!

Mock-Goulash: Brown meat with an onion and some garlic. If it is lean, don't drain, if there is a lot of grease, drain it. Toss the ground meat with cooked pasta and a can of diced tomatoes. Cook in a big pot until everything is heated through. Stir in grated cheddar cheese just a few minutes before serving, letting it melt. Serve and enjoy!

Spoonburgers: Brown meat in pan...when brown, add a can of french onion soup and a tablespoon of flour. Stir and simmer until thick. Serve on hamburger buns!

"Stroganoff": Brown meat and onion. When brown, add a can of cream of muchroom soup and about a half cup of sour cream. Stir in a little garlic powder. Simmer a few minutes and serve over egg noodles! Enjoy!

Good luck!

How about something a little different than meatloaf or taco salad?

"Inside Out" Ravioli

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach
1 jar (16 ounces) spaghetti sauce
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1/8 teaspoon each salt, freshly ground black pepper
1 package (8 ounces) large shell macaroni, cooked and drained
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
2 eggs, well-beaten
1/4 cup salad oil

PREPARATION:

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a 9-by-13-inch casserole with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onions; drain.

Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain and reserve the liquid.

Meat mixture: Add enough water to the reserved liquid to make 1 cup. Add this to the ground beef, along with the spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 10 minutes.

Pasta mixture: In a large bowl, combine spinach with macaroni, cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, eggs and oil. Mix well.

Spread pasta mixture into prepared casserole. Pour meat mixture over top. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into serving pieces.

Cook it and season it with taco seasoning, or mix with some salsa, just enough to mix in. Then make a 'taco salad' with it. Make your own low fat tortilla chips by toasting corn tortillas in the oven, break into large pieces on a plate, top with a green salad, taco meat, pinto or black beans, tomatoes.
