Edmonton has an International Airport and I am sure you can connect with a regional carrier to get to Grand Prairie. Beautiful time of year to be heading up there. Is a 4 1/2 hour drive to Grande Prairie but a nice drive as well. Take a side trip from Grande Prairie and head to Fort St. John on the Alaska Highway. Bring your fishing rod and enjoy the scenery.

Grande Prairie does have an airport of its own, but I doubt its fares are very competitive.

you'd probably do much better flying into Edmonton and renting a car from there. Prince George, BC, is a similar distance from GP, so it couldn't hurt to compare fares to there, too.

my daughter lives in Grande Prairie, and she takes the Edmonton route to visit the coast, but I don't know where you are leaving from.I'd say to try some comparison shopping.
