U could try, but I think it's just natural for human beings to worship something (money etc.). So even if ur not worshipping God, ur worshipping something else.... And I'm not sure what u mean by God rules being replaced by people achievements...

Yes you can live, but that's all. God's rules can't be replaced by anything or anyone. God is the only way and that is the only path to true happiness. People need to wake up and smell his beautiful flowers.

I've been living without it for three years now and they've been the most productive years of my life. But I really don't understand what you mean by that "rules and achievements part"...

On Earth, all things are possilbe ... so yes, people can 'live without religion' just fine ... but there will always be 'thinkers' and 'wonderers' who will be able to 'step over the line of this reality' into the 'alternate universe' we now call Heaven. Thank God.

No, people cannot change God OR God's laws no matter how much they wish they could. They can disobey God's laws or not care that they exist, but thats a different story.
God is perfect which means that he does not need to change. The devil is Gods only enemy - what he does is he tries to and sometimes succeeds to change God's things... in order to fully understand, you must study scriptures.
here is a starting point
http://www.bible.ca/r-truth-set-free.htm
i'm not affiliated in no shape or form to that site, just someting i found online that i think explains some of your questions in a good way
I hope you find and accept the truth. Truth is God is our creator, sin entered the world thru disobedience which was instigated by the devil to whose whispers Adam and Eve chose to listen while knowing that they are disobeying God (and anytime you disobey God it is called a sin), forgiveness for sin and redemption came thru God's son who took our sins upon him, accepting Jesus as your saviour is the only way back to God. This is not human invention. It is the truth and if you don't belive it you will realize it, but it will be too late. as your soul NEVER dies. The devil tries to make people think that they can be smarter than God, or think God can't be that serious about things, or that God is keeping things away from you b/c he's selfish...no, the devil is a deceiver, he exitsts, and his number one goal is to keep people away from Jesus, he will do that in many many different ways.
Just wanted to comment: dr schmitty just becuase someone calls themselves a Christian, does not MEAN he IS one!!! Hitlers actions came out of his evil heart, not out of the Bible! Jesus message is to love thy neighbor with all thy heart, something Hitler NEVER did. If Hitler was a TRUE follower of CHRIST, he would've NEVER did what he's done. and the same goes for all those witch killings and stuff...those were not true followers of CHRIST!! It is so upsetting when someone blames Christianity for all the bad things happening in this world, its not Christianity at fault, its the devil and the evil he instills in people's hearts which THEY accept!

It seems that you're somewhat confused. Of course you can live without religion. However, what you should be concerned with is dieing without religion.
Answer this for me if you will. What achievements of mankind can possibly compare with the sacrifice that Jesus made for you and me??

Theology has devolved into "community" and platitudes, rather than offering a path of transcendence and creation. Humanity would be better off studying theology across cultures to understand its power and choosing like-mindedness in others as a way of forming and contributing to community.
