God cannot cause sin...

Because you praise God when things go right, instead of looking for the real reason.

Atheists don't really blame God for anything. We simply like to point out that if God were real, and God were omnibenevolent, and God were omnipotent, then bad things wouldn't happen. And any God that sat by and allowed bad things to happen would not be worthy of anything but contempt. That's all.

Because as other people have mentioned, it's the easy way out. Taking responsibility for our own actions is difficult. It's hard work really. No one I know enjoys admitting that they are wrong. However, I know for me that's the only way I've been able to start to feel comfortable in my own skin.

I believe I will always make mistakes, guaranteed. I'm human. I'm not perfect. NO ONE is. The first answer out of my mouth or that pops in my head when I get into trouble, will always be a lie. The only thing that's been able to change is that I am now more aware of when I am lying and can take action to correct it quicker so I don't have to keep hurting myself the same way. The drama and the chaos is lessened as a result and less things go "wrong".

I know for me, more often than not, it's not really that things are going "wrong", what it really is, is that things aren't going my way. This is the thing that I always have to remember. Who am I to say who should live and who should die??? Who am I to judge??? Really.

Thank goodness I've gotten knocked off my high horse and continue to keep getting knocked off, life is much more simple as a human among humans.

Thanks for the question. You made me think.

Right you are! James 1: 13, 14 is emphatic that temptation is not from God: "Let no man say, when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempten with evil, neither tempteth He any man. But every man is tempted, when he drawn away of his own lust, and enticed."

I guess, it's just easier for some to shirk the responsibility they have in the process and scape-goat God, as if He has enticed them beyond what they could possibly hope to resist. Just a cop out, is all.

I was just thinking the same thing. It goes beyond sin. People are blaming G-d because they don't have a husband or money or what ever else. They need to wake up and see what can THEY do to change THEIR situation.
Good question!

It goes back to The Fall in the Garden of Eden.....we just wanna pass the buck.....and since we believers acknowledge the existence of the Lord God Almighty of Heaven, we have an automatic tendency to blame Him, since we already know that He alone is ultimately in control of the entire universe and of all that exists in it.....it's when our flesh and selfishness blinds our eyes to looking for the real reason, and 99.9% of the time, it's our own selves to blame when things do go wrong.....straight up sentiments, and His best blessings to you.....

The real reason is that the universe follows the laws of physics. Bad stuff happens.

EDIT: If you say God cannot sin, then you are admitting that he's not omnipotent.

Most likely it's because they don't understand or want to accept that man is the cause of sin. I personally feel that one can't grasp the concept of "the fall of man...," if one doesn't believe in God...but hey, that's just me.

It's easier to blame god or the devil instead of being personally responsible.

God chooses the "time" of a person to leave this world.

After all, appearently we'll have a new rol in heaven as servants of God
