"Why are you on this site?" Are you bored and want to know what's going on in the lives of your six billion fellow humans? Are you having a bad day and kinda need to be reminded that your current situation isn't near as bad as some others? Or are you in an emotionally volatile mood and kinda wanna unleash opinionated ballistics at any controversial or scandalous topic that happens to press your button? Or do you just like to read the uniquely colorful responses to "questionable" questions and come across the one response that has you laughing really hard to yourself? Or do you feel that you might actually be able to assist a fellow human with help/advice/answers from a previous predicament/situation/experience..... in your own journey of life? Or is for the accumulation of points in hopes that Yahoo! will one day in the near future actually begin to distribute prizes for 'em? For me, a little bit of all the aforementioned.....why are YOU on this site at this very moment in your life?

I was hoping to dissuade one of the 5 billion or so who seem to be so determined to end up in hell.

Anyone with just alittle age on them, realizes that the world (and esspecially this Nation) has taken a sharp turn away from
many things that were considered the "norm". This forum gives a me a good idea of just how far south we've gone so far.
As a student of secular vs Biblical Prophecy, I can guage where we are in
the timetable for these end-times.
And quite frankly.....things ain't lookin too good, which wouldn't be nearly as big a deal except for the fact that we're just getting started. Whoa...is it ever gonna get hot in the old proverbial kitchen...
Anyway, thats what I'm doing on here.

I'm on the site to hear the way someone else's mind works on a given topic whether or not they give a decent answer. Hearing how other's minds work is either for affirmation or to play "devil's advocate" and just view how others respond. That part can be humorous, but it's really nice to read honest responses!

Sometimes I am bored, sometimes I am waiting for the sleep meds to kick in, always hope that something I say will help someone. Sometimes I want information. Right now there is nothing on tv and I am going to take a little break before starting supper.

It's addictive. It's connecting with others when I usually only connect with the same people at work and home everyday. It's learning about different opinions and beliefs other than my own. It's informative. It's the random questions you feel too embarrassed to ask in real life. It's fun. And yes, I am bored at work.

I am 100% completely and totally addicted. I love the fact you can get 1,000 different opinions on the exact same thing. I have always been interested in the meaning of life, trying to figure out "the big picture" and now I get to experience it with so many other people.

I love reading the responses to some of the more "interesting" questions, and yes, getting a good laugh! Also try to help if I can.

When my 1 yr old daughter takes a nap, I take some time to unwind and end up here scanning for interesting questions in the R & S section. It's my atheist AA meeting sort of thing for the day.

Why am I on this site?
I'd have to say that my primary goal here on Y!A is to practice my writing skills.
Y!A users, - particularly R&S, are a motley crew and I find the diversity of thought in their Q&As to be, for lack of a better word, - challenging.
Also, I must confess that I do enjoy the on-line company of a few Y!Aers, - even if they do not enjoy mine...:-))

I'm here because I enjoy discussing religion and spirituality. As a Christian and fledgling theologian for 35 years, I know more about Christianity than most people.
I want people to understand that God does not exist. That is is a figment of primitive man's imagination. A lie repeated for so many thousands of years, that people believe it without question. A delusion so permanently ingrained in our psyche, that "atheists" are the most mistrusted and villainized people on the planet.
