My daughter wanted misgetthi and meatballs for dinner the other night. Can you tell a story about your child mixing up words with an R&S topic? I'll miss it when she grows out of that.

I was visiting some friends a few years ago, and their eleven year old daughter was telling me about a new video game. In her own words, it featured a FSM-type monster that was "really, REALLY scary with lots of eyes and covered with testicles."

To their everlasting credit, all six adults in the room managed to keep a straight face. And all I could say was, "Yep, that'd be pretty scary, all right."

After she left the room, it was a good ten minutes before any of us could stop laughing. From a woman's standpoint, that's about as terrifying a monster as it ever gets!

And a couple of years ago, my sister was leading her children in their evening prayers. She asked them to pray for Bush. Afterwards, my youngest nephew gave her a funny look and said, "Mommy, why did we just pray for a tree?"

Yes, hold onto the "cutsies" as long as you can... the "gimme the keys to the car" aren't too far down the road.
