,,,,,, but they have suppressed the truth about God?
Yeah.
On the other hand, for those who want to know God if he is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you."

Fact is: God designed the earth as a habitation for man!

Many examples showing God's design could be given, with NO end.

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Hebrews 11:3.

For example: The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter.3 Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.

dave,
did you know? The Earth is located the right distance from the sun. Consider the temperature swings we encounter, roughly -30 degrees to +120 degrees. If the Earth were any further away from the sun, we would all freeze. Any closer and we would burn up. Even a fractional variance in the Earth's position to the sun would make life on Earth impossible. The Earth remains this perfect distance from the sun while it rotates around the sun at a speed of nearly 67,000 mph. It is also rotating on its axis, allowing the entire surface of the Earth to be properly warmed and cooled every day.
"We" serve an awsome God!

Cecil, Thanks. And consider this: Water...colorless, odorless and without taste, and yet no living thing can survive without it. Plants, animals and human beings consist mostly of water (about two-thirds of the human body is water). You'll see why the characteristics of water are uniquely suited to life.
How cool is THAT!

ollom,
The human brain's complexity shows a higher intelligence behind it.
The human brain...simultaneously processes an amazing amount of information. Your brain takes in all the colors and objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against the floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture of your keyboard. Your brain holds and processes all your emotions, thoughts and memories. At the same time your brain keeps track of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid movement, hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.

bk, That's right!
The alternative to God existing is that all that exists around us came about by natural cause and random chance. If someone is rolling dice, the odds of rolling a pair of sixes is one thing. But the odds of spots appearing on blank dice is something else. What Pasteur attempted to prove centuries ago, science confirms, that life cannot arise from non-life. Where did human, animal, plant life come from?
You see; the case FOR God, is evident.

kate,
Unlike any other revelation of God, Jesus Christ is the clearest, most specific picture of God pursuing us.
Look throughout the major world religions and you'll find that Buddha, Muhammad, Confucius and Moses all identified themselves as teachers or prophets. None of them ever claimed to be equal to God. Surprisingly, Jesus did. That is what sets Jesus apart from all the others. He said God exists and you're looking at him. Though he talked about his Father in heaven, it was not from the position of separation, but of very close union, unique to all humankind. Jesus said that anyone who had seen Him had seen the Father, anyone who believed in him, believed in the Father.
That's who "we" serve.
He said, "I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." He claimed attributes belonging only to God:

to be able to forgive people of their sin, free them from habits of sin, give people a more abundant life and give them eternal life in heaven. Unlike other teachers who focused people on their words, Jesus pointed people to himself. He did not say, "follow my words and you will find truth." He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me."

First: By unwavering mathematical law we can prove that our universe was designed & executed by a great engineering Intelligence. Suppose you put ten pennies marked from one to ten, into your pocket & give them a good shuffle. Now try to take them out in sequence from one to ten, putting back the coin each time & shaking them all again. Mathematically we know that your chance of first drawing #1 is one to ten; of drawing one & two in succession , one to 100; of drawing one, two, & three in succession, one in a thousand, and so on; your chance of drawing them all from one to ten in succession , would reach the unbelievable figure of one chance in ten billion.
By the same reasoning, so many exacting conditions are necessary for life on the earth that they could not possibly exist in proper relationship by chance. The earth rotates on its axis one thousand miles an hour; if it turned at 500 miles an hour, our days & nights would be 5 times as long as they are now, & the hot sun would burn up our vegetation each long day while in the long night any surviving sprout would freeze.
Again, the sun, source of our life, has a surface temperature of 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit, & our earth is just far enough away so that this “eternal fire” warms us just enough & not too much! If the sun only gave off one tenth its present radiation, we would freeze & if it gave a tenth as much more we would roast.
The slant of the earth, tilted at an angle of 23 degrees, gives us our seasons, if it had not been so tilted, vapors from the ocean would move north & south, piling up for us continents of ice. If our moon was any closer than its current distance , our tides would be so enormous that twice a day all continents would be submerged; even the mountains would soon be eroded away. If the crust of the earth had been only 10 ft. thicker, there would be no oxygen, without which animal life must die. Had the ocean been a few ft. deeper, carbon dioxide & oxygen would have been absorbed & no vegetable life could exist. If our atmosphere had been any thinner, some of the meteors , now burned in space by the millions every day, would be striking all parts of the earth.
Because of these & a host of other examples, there is not one chance in millions that life on our planet is an accident.

Ummm... in case you haven't noticed, speculation is considered "sufficient evidence" right along with argumentative assumptions, conclusions drawn based upon lack of logical answers (my eyeball is complex so there MUST be a creator der te der), and misunderstood occurrences in nature or life mistaken for divine intervention.

NEWS FLASH

"I don't know" does NOT equal "God"

edit:

Where did human, animal, plant life come from?
You see; the case FOR God, is evident.

no- that's exactly what I was saying in my last sentence.

Let me put it to you this way (its gonna sound rude)

Just because you don't understand how life came to be does not give you ANY reason to believe that someone made it happen. That notion was assumed. That doesn't make a case for god. That is simply stating "I don't know, must have been god."

Just remember - just because you have an answer, doesn't make it the RIGHT answer. Once again- this is where science has religion stomped. Information and practices change just like everything else. It moves forward and replaces that which is no longer necessary... even our technology evolves. Your book has "all the answers" - simply closing your minds to other possibilities. In an ever changing world- that which REFUSES to change, gets left behind. This is inevitable.

As I'm sure you will pick an answerer that says "I agree, praise the lord", I will not bother typing you anymore of my "scientific jargon". Have fun in the next few decades... with technology moving forward at the rate its going, I don't see dogmatism having much leeway in the future. We've outgrown that book, and it will soon be filed right next to the Oddessy

i get what you mean and that's great that earth is in a great position but what does that have to do with god? there's no proof that he made it! all it is is something that people made up probably to give them hope or maybe it was just a story like say harry potter. the bible was made a long time ago and as im sure you're aware, back then ppl were pretty clueless especially in science. and this whole god thing is exactly like santa claus. parents usually tell their kids about this christianity stuff and since the kids are young it makes since to them because kids usually assume adults are all knowing so then they grow up believing in this stupid stuff like you!

EDIT: i was talking about there being no such thing as god, i didnt mention anything about jesus! i dont believe in any of that crap

Venus is smaller than Earth and posesses a thicker atmosphere. The fact that you jumped from Mercury to Mars shows that you know the truth, but prefer to ignore it. Thank you for demonstrating that all evidence for Creationism is based in deceit.

Oh boy! More Bible baloney.

I know about a lot more than our sweet spot distance from the Sun. Our moon, for example, is exactly the perfect size to keep our planet stable enough to harbor the type of life that has evolved. We see in exactly the right wave length for our survival. If we need to suck nectar from flowers like bees do, we probably see in the ultraviolet. Our sense of smell and hearing are only as good as they need to be for us to survive. The point of all this is we are a product of our environment and not that our environment was tailored to us.

Yes, your Bible and science are correct.

Suppression is why there are so many religions claiming to be Christian but so obviously not. It is to confuse people so they never find the truth unless they go to much effort. Satan bets most will never stop being so lazy.

so why have only the "non-religious" seen the "Truth"?

Surely, if a religious person saw the truth, they wouldn't supress it?

Your argument suggests God only reveals his secrets to atheists. That wouldn't make much sense.

alright, look at it this way.

trillions of trillions of planets in the universe

and one of them, that we know of, is suitable for humans

The reason we are here is because this planet is suitable, not because your god made it so, but because that out of all those planets there's bound to be a bunch that meet the requirements for life.
