he asks us to go against our very nature, he encourages his followers to be blind fanatical zealots, povety, disease, etc, etc....in the bible he even describes himself as being jealous of other gods. I still lean towards him being a fairy tale, but in these contexts, he would seem to me to be a very irresponsible child that was given a pet to take care of.
Oh, and Afallon....give me ONE example of a war in the name of atheism. I know you'll bring up the communists, but that wasn't about their non-belief in god as much as about power and wealth.

Do you think God is evil because a tornado comes and kills people. Can you comprehend that maybe God wants them to be with him in heaven? When a child dies you blame God? Ever thought that maybe God wants his angel back for other things? I guess that is the wrong answer in your eyes because you fail to see good things. God does not hate he loves!!! Maybe if you let him love you you might be a better person.

Wars are about power or money but of course money is power. Religion is used to encourage people to fight a war. You do get so called religious wars but they again just about power as are most religions of course. God is not good or bad just fictitious.

Man craves power and wealth and then use God as an excuse by manipulating religion to their own ends. We as man are responsible.

Well what about athiests, eg. stalin's russia, cultural revolution in china, pol pots cambodia, hitlers nazi exterminations.
Whenever, somebody comes along and dictates in a fundamentalist way how others should be then violence follows.
