All I can say is, that sure is a question that makes you say hmmm...I know I do not feel
"in a rut" with the truth...Infact it is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life...maybe it is a rut for the people who don't know the truth...

The truth is neither easy for everyone to come by or accept. The whole concept of truth depends on the fact that there was deception to compare it to. If there was no falseness, truth would be a given. The truth can be a trip-and-fall situation for some, but upon getting back up, there is a new destination, new direction, or new knowledge.

Because, when you are absolutely positive that you KNOW the truth, then you dig in and cause a rut.

This includes anyone that KNOWS something to be true. Fundies that KNOW they are the only ones going to Heaven. Atheists that KNOW there is no god. Creationists that KNOW the "Big Bang" is wrong, etc, etc, etc.
