It definitely can! Parrots, Parakeets, cockatoos, cockateels and even Minor Birds all mimic sounds. It does not matter what the source of the sound is, if they like it, they will mimic it. It's not uncommon for these birds to mimic telephone ring tones and train whistles etc. However, you have to be careful what you say around them as they do tend to pick up fowl language quite easily. When I was a teen, a local pet shop had a Minor Bird that would give a wolf whistle whenever a female entered but not when a male entered. The cheeky bird also called out, "show us your knickers". I have also known birds that tell people to f*** off.

I would say yes. My birds mimic the sounds of outside birds that the neighbor feeds. My senile neighbor gets called a**hole everytime he says for a guest to his parrot Turkey, "He loves his daddy". The bird is miserable from lack of stimulation. I hope I can get Turkey to a happier home someday, the boredom in his eyes is heart breaking and the guy is only 17. It's good your birds have each other to chat to, my male parakeet is constantly making up songs and is so happy when I sing an old one he knows.

people get puzzled between the be conscious MATE and BREED. particular they could mate. they could not or maximum probable is definitely not powerful at it besides because of length subject concerns. there will be a great style of falling off happening. It isnt in many situations that a Budgie ( their actual call not parakeet ) and a cockatiel will bond to the factor of pairing up and mating, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is been widespread to ensue. maximum in many situations its the formidable budgie male that tries mating the cockatiel and not any incorrect way around. And the budgie male ought to be attempting to mate a cockatiel male or woman. because of fact the potential for it occurring is so low, and the possibilities of effectively mating is even decrease after which the prospect of something coming from that's close to impossible ............... you have not something to fret approximately.
