I told them to call it into (the next small town down the road)... They said they couldn't because they didn;t have the number and couldn't look it up.

Heck, I could have done that if my computer hadn't of tanked on me...

Where is Michael Moore when I need him?!?

If you got your meds from a national chain pharmacy they may be able to fill it anyway. If you were in a different state, you doctor would not be able to prescribe in that state unless he had a license in that state. Your third option would be to find the pharmacy's number yourself and call and give it to your doctor. It does cost doctors money to call in prescriptions, not just the phone call, but the time to pull your record, confirm your prescription and then call it in. It is estimated to cost doctors about $20 to do that, not including the phone call. Most doctors will still do it, but you have to take at least some responsibility for making it as easy as possible.

Also, if your prescription is a scheduled drug like a narcotic, sedative or sleeping pill, they may be concerned that you are abusing or selling the medication. Even though I am assuming that is not the case for you, you must understand that doctors can loose their licenses for over-prescribing those type of medications.

BTW Michael Moore is an idiot.

You didn't think through a solution.
If the information is on your computer, go to FedEx-Kinkos, look up the information and email/fax it to your doctor.
