That's a laugh. I don't see how it couldn't. Actually,it's not a laugh. Not with millions dead from AIDS. And I lay that right at the feet of atheists and their perverted concepts of freedom.

Actually,I get enough. I'm happily married with two fine children. It's the Catholic way. We call it "family". Very different from "bar scene".

Wow,look how they squirm to avoid responsibility. Look,it wasn't the catholic Church promoting so-called sexual freedom throughout the 70's.

Say,they really excited when you suggest they might have some sense of social responsibility. And look at all the nya-nya name-callling. So much for the legend of the Atheist Intellectual.

Obviously there would be a connection. Nobody goes to greater lengths to promote premarital sex as liberating than athiests and that would clearly facilitate the spread of sexually transmiited diseases. Muslims maintain strong sanctions against out-of-wedlock sex and AIDS is almost unknown in the Muslim world. I don't see how anybody could deny the connection, except out of hypocrisy.

I agree with Jurgen. In any environment where promiscuity in acceptable, you find an elevated incidence of sexual diseases. The connection is obvious. That's why it's so common in our cities and comparatively rare in smaller communities, where people still have decent values. Atheists have been promoting "sexual freedom' in the media since the 1920's,but especially since 1970.

Once again, some narrow minded Christian has mistakenly claimed they have a monopoly on morality.
Aids is mainly spread through sexual contact. Do Christians not have sex? Do no Christians ever have sexual relations outside of marriage? If "gay" or "unmarried" sex is to be claimed the root cause of the spread of HIV then don't all those child molesting preists "deserve" to become infected instead of protected and coddled by their church's hierarchy?
There are countless atheists who also live in committed, loving relationships where there is no chance of getting an STD due to infidelity.
Here are some statistics:
42 million people are living with HIV/AIDS in the world – 92.8 percent of them in developing countries. 3 million are children under the age of 15. 2.9 million of those children live in the developing world, mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
I will add my opinion that the majority of these cases are due to a lack of AIDS awareness and not "hedonistic.sexual freedom".

Dear Grendel,
That’s odd. Because I lay it at the feet of the fundamentalist, evangelist Christians who have browbeat daddy into such a panic that he cant admit to mommy that he’s been to a hooker… and passed the clap on to her. And Mom cant admit to dad that she got with the 20 year old at the gym and now she’s given the it to her husband.
You see Grendel it’s your attitude that is making imposable to talk about this subject without trying to blame it onto someone else. IF everyone didn’t have to run and hid from people like you, they could get to a doctor and the problem wouldn’t be one tenth as bad as it is in this nation.
Hugs,
Penny

Sexual freedom isn't an atheist idea. Atheism only covers the disbelief in gods. Anything else falls under some other category.

Sexual revolution is an atheist idea? I wonder if the Hindus and Muslims of India fall under the atheist category. Especially when you consider how they have outpaced sub-Saharan Africa as the fastest growth rate when it comes to the spread of HIV...

it has nothing to do with atheists and everything to do with the fact that this country is morally bankrupt. And please don't preach about the atheists causing the spread of STD's or Aids when the Catholic church is about to go belly up due to the fact that so many of our dear clergy have been raping little boys for centurys...get real

Your concept of Atheists is way off. We do not like seeing people die of sexual transmitted diseases.
I'll throw a question at you feet Where do you get your so called facts?

So, what exactly is the Atheist idea of sexual freedom.
It's always the the ill-informed Fox News groupies who spread this kind of unsubstantiated Crapola.
So, come on big guy, pony up with the facts ............................... or don't you have any?
We already know what the answer is, so stop sputtering looking for an out.

You know, in the United States, people view AIDS as a white gay man's disease.
In the rest of the world, it's viewed as a brown 12 year old's disease.
I think you should apologize.
