this is not the problem that most answerer's are tilted towards... if you and the prospective parents are in agreement and the doctor agrees that you are in fit enough health to have the pregnancy the the only question IS ... are you mentally fit and are you happy in this process and are you willing to give up the baby at term..... ?????? best of age to be under 35 as you are better fit to cope with all the stress and physical drag on the body .... over 35 is the decision that you alone must bear.... best of luck if this is a pending dilemma and unselfish act that you are undertaking .....

Most surrogacy agencies won't accept a surrogate mother who is over 30.

This doesn't mean that a woman over the age of 30 can't get pregnant. women can get pregnant as long as their junk is working. I'm just saying that to be a professional surrogate, most agencies won't allow women over 30 to carry a child for another woman.

Well I saw a lady in the news a few months back who had lied to her IVF doctors and said she was 55 when she was 60 and she went on to have twins. Now she's happy but everyone went 'wtf she's going to die before they grow up'. I also know a woman who accidently fell pregnant at 50 much to her surprise. I think your body can handle it until about 45 - 50 but remember age can cause all sorts of complications and if you aren't as young as you were birth and pregnancy can really take it out of you. Just really think it through. I would say 45 is a limit.

As old as "too old to try getting pregnant."

I would say that 40 is not too old; my mother was 40 when she gave birth to me. But any older than that would be pushing it.

That question is really up to you. Are you still ready to give birth and go through the pregnancy? I would ask a doctor.
