If so how physically demanding is it as someone told me today that i wouldn't be able to do it because i wouldn't be strong enough.

i have been a builder for over 40 years ..and plastering is one of the most demanding jobs of all ..i started plastering as a labourer ..and got all the good jobs like plastering under the stairs etc .. its a well paid job these days ..but its one of the hardest in the building trade ....if you think you are up for it then good luck ..you will also learn the art of falling asleep here there anywhere ..social life?.. soon as i stop yawning !

Yeah I've got a couple of friends in the Dayton area that are all women that renovate houses. 2 of which do all the drywall and painting. Its not as physically demanding as you might think.

i am a female painter and decorator and find my job physically demanding. it would take your body about 6 months of constant work before you felt comfortable with doing your job.good luck

Strength will come with practise, but yes it is very demanding physically, ceilings more so than walls.
