I am so mad that he had the nerve to say yes because universal healthcare includes all Americans. Is it me or did he just contradict himself? Undocumented workers as asked about, are not Americans. What are your thoughts?

How am I ignorant. Obviously you who call me ignorant think just because you live on a continent called America anything it makes you an American. Wrong. That has to do with the nation in which you are born or migrate to.

That is what made your skin crawl??!!? You need to look at the "universal" health plans these folks are putting forth. Every one of them with one exception puts the responsibility for the plans right smack in the hands of the corporate insurance industry. The same industry that has worked so hard to make coverage unobtainable for so many, and the same industry that has driven families bankrupt.
That is what should make your skin crawl.

I think he meant Americans as in citizens of the North Amercan Union. Be watchful for terms like this to be used more often. I've even heard it in a few tv commercials (referring to North America instead of a particular country). And yes, the very idea makes my skin crawl.

The whole idea of illegal aliens make my skin crawl. They invade our nation, cost us billions of dollars annually, commit crime after crime and they think they are entitled to live here and live off the fat of the land. The entitled part is what really sticks in my craw! Fu*k Richardson, he's after votes. But the illegals are after the soul of my nation! Have you seen what they've done to our desert? It's a dam* landfill dump due to their lack of respect for our country and our people. Even that is minor to their other assaults of our nation. Deport illegals now!

I'm not surprised. Some of the previous posters have no idea what the illegals are already costing us...they already get free health care via ER, child health programs, medicaid, maternity clinics...especially in sanctuary cities like LA, NYC, etc.
No one said anything about denying the illegals emergency care. If the illegals need ER service, give it to them and deport them.

Nancy Kay: Universal health care is a state in which all residents of a geographic or political entity have access to some type of health care by means of provision of health INSURANCE. Unfortunately, illegals don't have insurance and insist on parasitically sucking off of welfare and tax dollars instead (as the hospital has to pay for their accomodations before being reimburst by we the people). No one is advocating human rights abuses by denying illegals healthcare. We are advocating that after the healthcare is given, they are immediately deported instead of allowed to walk scot-free. Poor citizens don't even get that opportunity.

I have many Mexican friends , I have dated several and think they are some of the most beautiful and sexist women on earth , my brother married a Mexican she is a very nice person and industrious,( and legal) so I am certainly not prejudice against them, ( the legals) however I don't believe they should be entitled to free schooling , medical, and all citizen rights, if that were true why become a citizen and pay your fair share of taxes? no one should be able to live on someone Else's back, including many of our welfare recipe ants, we are America and should adhere to the principles that America first,

The funding for children's state health benefits the Senate Finance committee approved last week would give free health benefits to children of 'legal' immigrants under a certain income level, by its terms, but by its terms every child must be 'presumed' legal and the income limit is determined by what the parent says it is - no income verification.

I couldn't agree with you more. I hate that crap. I hate universal health care, and it pisses me off that it's coming to not only having to make our own citizens completely reliant on government paid for by americans, but now even foreigners are using it to be less reliant on themselves as well. How many times must I say this? MORE SELF RELIANCE! LESS RELIANCE ON GOVERNMENT!

Undocumented workers is just another word for illegal alien in my book. Why would we pay for people who illegally enter our country to get health care. That's half the reason they're all here!!! No wonder our government is broke!
