Only those that promote jogging claim its health benefits.
Jogging is hard on the joints and internal organs.
It is very easy to overstress yourself when jogging, by keeping up with a stronger jogger or just over doing it yourself.
Jogging in hot weather can give a jogger a stroke.
Jogging in rainy or stormy weather can cause a jogger to be struck by lightening.
Jogging on rough or uneven surfaces can cause a lot of broken bones.
Jogging is a very lonely past time. You are usually alone and subject yourself to being injured with no help insight.

It sometimes will happen that a blood clot will be dislodged in an unhealthy person, and that will cause them to die when they jog. They could also have a heart attack from the strain. This is why, if you are going to get healthy, take it a step at a time, don't start an athlete's exercise regimen as a beginner to fitness.

It's not because of the actual jogging. It's a typical story that some woman gets up before the sun and decides it's that moment that she is sheilded from any sort of doom. She goes out at a time when a lot of creeps are out...oh, and did I mention they usually pick parts of town where most people would stay out of during waking hours....and some weirdo chops her up or rapes her. She's alone and usually unaware of her surroundings b/c she's pretending to be a friggin' Spice Girl while listening to her IPOD.

That doctor who was a total jogging advocate died of a heart attack at a fairly early age. I am not sure if he was jogging at the time.
I more into bike riding anyway. A lot less strain on the joints.

Probably because they jog into dark or less traveled areas, and those are the places maniacs lurk and hide their victim's bodies.
