Why does everyone hate Dale jr. now a days some just cus of his switch to hendrick some just hate him to hate him why?
and alot of people think he wont make the cup...... i guarauntee you if he hand't lost his power steering at usg sheetrock 400 he would of had won it or top 3...... well so why does everyone hate Dale Earnhardt Jr.?

I'm a huge Jr fan!! And I think he will make the chas this year. But I agree, why does everyone hate him? Is it because of his name and fame? Or because he left DEI to help himself?

Just the Hendrick haters, minus the Dale Jr. fans, plus the original Dale Jr. haters that aren't Hendrick haters. It's just that those who hate him now are making noise, while the rest of us who don't hate him just keep quiet, except when we defend him.

I was a fan of sr. and the only reason why I like jr. now is that he is a good driver, I realize that he's not the best and has had terrible luck lately, but I prefer to chear for someone that isn't dominating all the time, makes for a boring season to experience winning all the time, for me its like using the god mode cheat in video games just loses all the fun found in the challange of the game. And those that think that I chear for jr. soley because of who his dad was are mistaken, kerry sucks I don't chear for him, jr is simply a good driver who is fun to watch for me. My dislike for hendricks obviously stems from Gordon beating out sr so many times, and I'm going to have a hard time chearing for him next season, but I'm for the sticking with the same guy I've cheered for my entire life

I can honestly say I don't hate any driver.I was a HUGE Sr. fan & still miss him a lot. These guys are all out there trying to get the same end result- to be a champion. Yes it sucks to see the same guy win week after week when that person is not the one you are rooting for, but I can't say that I would hate a guy for it. Thats what makes this sport what it is, and the fans are very passionate, but I hope the majority aren't going to say that they hate a man they've never met personally. Hate is a VERY strong word.

Dale Jr.'s merchandise accounts for *one quarter* of all NASCAR merch sales. He certainly has some vocal fans here, and at every other forum I've seen. Who's this "everyone" you're talking about?

I never liked Jr. He is OVERRATED!!! At least Gordon can win a few races... and championships (which is something Jr has never done). Jr will be the only Hendrick's driver I hate next year. It's a shame Rick Hendrick gave up on Kyle Busch.

I don't hate Jr, actually I don't "hate" anyone, that's such an mean and ugly word.
I think there are a lot of reasons people dislike him, but don't have a good answer why.
It's just like with any other sport, some people just don't like their guys competition.

I don't like him that but BUT I don't hate Jr. But last I checked I was intitled to my own opinion. Just because I don't like drivers like Jr or Jeff, that should not be a problem, and get me thumbs down, its not like I am running around bashing drivers or the fans for liking other drivers, like others on here do. Or say stupid stuff like they make the cup blah blah blah. I'm basically nice, well until someone ticks me off.

it's the jeffy and jimmi fans who hate Jr. Not all of em do, but a lot. I like Dale Jr, he is my favorite driver, his dad was my favorite driver and I would not root for Jr if he sucked. He can wheel a racecar.
Did y'all see him win at Talladega in 2004 despite being wrecked early and making many pit stops, coming to victory lane with black tape keeping his nose together? He didn't need to wreck 2 good drivers to win like Brian I.suck.at.team-work.and.lick. Toy-ota.b.u.t.t. Vickers.
How about that wrestling the (no power) steering wheel at Chicago? He was probably ready to armwrestle the Guvnator after that.

although i am a gordon fan i dont hate dale jr! when he first started racing i didnt like his cocky attitude. But now the years have gone by and he has matured as a person! I do not have a problem with him! and feel that he will finish the lock down for HMS domination!!!! go gordon go
