If they steal the identity of a legal citizen, sure they can.

It's not like they would have to take a class on ID theft.

If they are working, they have already done it at least once or had it done for them.

I don't know about in Texas, but where I live they don't even need a US state issued driver's license...I know of several who have actually (not kidding) been stopped by the police with only a license from Mexico, and nothing has happened to them....They also are able to work and have taxes cut out of their check with only their documentation from Mexico and no papers to prove they are here legally (because they aren't)...You tell me how that happens?? And not through some random, individually owned company either, through a major chain of temp services this is being done?? I don't understand how, but it is happening. So I have no doubt that there is possibly a way for an illegal to obtain a driver's license in Texas, you aren't too far from me.....

They can go the states that have a relaxed system for obtaining drivers licenses. I know Tennesse since last year, you could practicaly know almost no english and get a drivers license. Then you can go back to the state of residence and apply for a drivers license and simply show the I.D. from Tennesse for example. That's playing the system. U.S. citizens shouldn't be mad at this process, we should play the game too...
