ever since i knew what a seizure and epilipsy was ive been afraid ever since. But what happened right now just scared the CRAP out of me. i play guitar hero. i was fine with guitar hero 1, isnce it barely had flashing lights, and at first i was fine with guitar hero 2, since i didnt know about epilipsy yet. once i figured it out, i was always scared when the fast strobe lights came, i sometimes looked away, or closed my eyes. and now guitar hero rocks the 80s came out. i beat it yesterday still scared, but i wasnt as scared. i thought i was finally not scared anymore, right now i just played uhhh the flock of seagulls song(thats the artist) and it had pretty fast flashing lights at the beggining, like 4 black to whites per second. since i thought i wasnt scared i stared right at it to see if i was still scared. it scared me i turned it off, and all the sudden my vision got blurry for like 5 seconds i thought i was about to black out and last night i had a hedache.

First of all I think your probably causeing these symptoms because your panicked about it. But if your that freaked out go to your doctor and get him to do an EEG. It is not painfull they stick little receptors to your head and measure your brain responses. This also includes strobing lights at you to see if they can induce an epileptic reaction. Its not a big deal for peace of mind.
To the people saying that this person is not epileptic, that if youve never had a seizure your not epileptic, that if your epileptic you have diabetes.
If your going to answer questions at least have a clue about it.
Anyone at anytime can have a seizure!!! You can develop epilepsy at any time in your life!!! Some people have a single seizure and never have another!!! There does not have to be any family history of epilepsy!!! All epileptics are not diabetic!!!There are different types of seizures, they do not all include loss of conciousness or severe convulsions. Seizures are not something to trifle with and your responses are uneducated.

Epilepsy is not usually something that comes out of the blue and hits you. It is from a problem in the wiring i nthe brain and suually is known by the person LONG before some game with flashy lights comes along. Being dizzy and feeling loopy just means your brain is saying I don't like this, not epilepsy!

Youre a DEE DEE DEE you dont have Epilepsy. Youre just a person who thinks he/she could get any disease or disorder just by thinking about it. I hate to tell you this if you havent had a siezure. If youre never had a siezure yet you dont have it. You have had at least two or more before youre DIAGNOSED as being Epileptic! I have Epilepsy I have had it since I was 3 to 6 months old.

Do you have epilepsy or had any seizures before? If so, you probably shouldn't be playing that anyway. If not, just make sure you are playing with lots of lights on. If it's still scary, stop playing.

It is not so common.Why should you be worried? Is there a family history? Even people who have it, take regular medicines and they do fine. Stop worrying about it. If the lights bother you, you may use goggles.

I think your terror is causing more problems than anything. you're acting the way you're afraid you will act. but common sense tells you don't play those games if this is way you react to them.
