what would be the healthy amount?

Everybody is different and amount of calories needed a day depends on your height, weight, sex, age and activity level.
On average for women its 1800-2400cal
and for men about 2400-2800cal.

there is no set amount but round about 2000 or so for women and 3000 or so for men. These numbers cover the average person, rmember the average is just the midpoint half of us are over and the other half are under, so the idea is to not gain or lose weight, unless you need to. Eat slowly and stop before you are full, it takes time for the food to hit the full switch.

it depends on ur wt ... for some people who r over wt.. 1500-2000 calories may be too much... but there r many sites wer u can go enter ur wt and the healthy amt of cal for u....
u can go to sparkpeople . com and try.. or u can google ... ulldefinetly get many usefull sites...

i heard that its somewhere between 1500 -2000 calories.
