Salam sister,
Islam really does shed light on many issues people just want to deny and make it all right...plus I really don't get how people come to believe that they can commit sins and expect prophet Jesus to "save" them... with all do respect to Christians, But that confuses me, really. In Islam everyone is held accountable for their deeds, otherwise, what would be the purpose of the day of Judgement?!

The Catechism of the Catholic Church address all of these things. Drinking and drugs are sins of gluttony. Drinking to the point of alcoholism that is to say. And illegal drug use, medicine is acceptable and necessary sometimes. Nudity and prostitution are sins against chastity. Nudity depending on the situation, of course. IN the shower or with your spouse it is permissable, but not in public so as to tempt others to lust. Abortion is a sin against the fifth commandment, You shall not kill. Smoking is gluttony, though there's the reasonable thing that it was not addressed in the past, addicts should find help to quit for their health and those around them. Gambling, can be gluttonous. Bingo is not bad, buying a lottery ticket once in a while is not a sin, but spending your entire pay check on the roulette wheel while your family needs to eat, is a problem.
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

My religion is The Religion of Diminati's Personal Code of Ethics. My judgments on these matters are:
Drinking - Drink up if you will not have to drive or be responsible for something that requires your full attention in the immediate future. For your own sake, drink in moderation.
Drugs - Careful. Rarely or never.
Nudity - Absolutely. That's the way your momma made you. Why are we fearful of our own anatomy?
Abortion - Proper planning should make it unneeded, ever. But in the unfortunate rare exceptions, it should be legal and safe.
Prostitution - Free enterprise trade between consenting adults, but don't expect me to be a customer. Should be made legal to eliminate the abusive practice of pimping.
Smoking - a real bad idea, but it's your life.
Gambling - I learned too much math in school to find gambling appealing. If you want to, that's your choice.

Drinking is fine as long as it is not abused, drugs is harmful so it is best to not do that , nudity is natural and the human body is a beautiful thing many groups have Sky clad rituals that is rituals performed in the nude, abortion is a woman's right and choice, prostitution is harmful to oneself and others, smoking is also, gambling is fine as long as you do not over do it.
Wicca is my religion. No sin no eternal hell no Satan.

No, but I'm an atheist, and I can't really be said to have a religion in the strictest sense.
Theologically though - if we start from the assumption that "God created us, perfectly, in his image", then it doesn't really follow that those things should be sinful... since they emerge as predictable consequences of the way we were created.
Personally, I'd say that any religion that's more concerned with totalitarian control over your behavior rather than your relationship with your fellow human beings isn't one that's worth following.

I'm certain yours does; I'm sure others could point out ills yours does not address, however.
BTW - Nudity is not an ill; we are all nude at some point, if we bathe at all.
Some of the others are things some people try to paint as black-and-white, but are not necessarily so. Without drugs, for instance, the medical field would be quite primative without.

Drinking and drugs cause the best gift from God Almighty to be tampered with or made less, that is why Islam forbids anything that reduces our mental agility at ANY POINT!!
Nudity leads to unwarranted attractions which can lead to unwanted pregnancies, which lead to the death of a child in the very place where he or she was meant to be nourished, or is born without the support of a healthy family that is willing to take care of them. The street children of Brazil are an indicator of what is in store for children who are spared death by abortion.
Prostitution again leads to children out of wedlock and it plus humiliates a woman totally and completely, the mother of men and women is turned into an object to be abused and used and discarded when she gets old. Whereas a married woman becomes a dignified mom of many children who would love to take care of her and love her in her old age.
Smoking is a habit that causes destruction to our body, which the Most High gave us, and we are to protect all gifts that God/Allah gave to us including our body, this planet, the environment and smoking hurts a lot of these.
Lastly gambling shows that you can make a profit without working for the money, a form of robbery or stealing, with this difference, the victim accepts being robbed willingly.
All of these things are forbidden in Islam so that a just and fair society is created. Unfortunately Muslim societies have eschewed many of the above sins, but have fallen into other more subtle follies that have caused them to slide down from their glory days.
These include too much rigidity in the matters of religion to the point that some Muslims literally pretend to be gods, while saying Allahu-Akbar or God is the Greatest!! The Prophet of Islam was a tolerant man. Who fought with his enemies when he had no choice, but unlike Moses or Jesus, all of his enemies were given by God in his hands, and he spared their lives including the lives of some of the killers of his own family.
THAT is true Islam and it is high time Muslims began to practice true Islam, that is follow the Prophet in all things.
I hope this makes sense.

Not in their holy book (the bible).
There is no mention of drinking (except wine), and the rest aren't in there at all, drugs, abortion, smoking or gambling.
But the churches cover all of the stuff god left out, rotflmao !!!
What god couldn't see drugs, abortion, smoking or gambling, being a problem in the future ? Or beer & hard liquor ?
