I used the Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade thinking it was a preview to easily be removed from my computer at a later date. Turns out it isn't, and now after 30 days Windows shut down, so my computer can't do anything. It wants me to go online and buy a product key or enter a valid one, which I obviously don't have. I can give more information, just ask. Thank you so much for your help.

Carling I like your answer but there is no way to go back to system restore in the first place. All it lets you do is go to the Microsoft Website to buy a product key. Windows does not function at all.

You can go back to XP providing you have an XP installation disc with a product key.

You will need to Format your drive with the XP diisc and carry out a fresh installation.

Be sure to backup all your files first as this will wipe your Drive.

Hope This Helps.
