I wish I could tell you different, but nothing about weight loss is easy or fast. Also, weight doesn't come off where you want it to, it comes off in a genetically predetermined manner based on how your body stores fat. Good news is that most women store fat on their "butt" so often this is the first place for it to go.

Add some cardio into your life (walking, running, dancing) and weight train two or three times each week. You don't need to radically overhaul your diet, just modify it and cut out a few calories by dropping soda and other junk food.

That should bring you a long way toward your goals.

The best way to lose weight is doing exercise.

The best type of exercise for weight loss is something you ENJOY DOING and are likely to continue doing - not just while losing weight but also as you maintain weight in the long term.

Your initial fitness goal should be to do 30 minutes of exercise each day. Thereafter, gradually increase this (ideally) to about 60 minutes of exercise per day.

The best combination of exercise is a mixture of aerobic and weight/strength training (and stretching). Aerobic and weight/strength training exercises both assist weight loss but in different ways.

It would be nice if you could get on the elliptical machine and say, "OK, today, burn fat from my thighs," or, "OK, sit-ups, get rid of my love handles," but that's not how it works. Resistance exercises will tone the muscle under the excess fat, and they can even help tighten you up enough to lose a pant size (without losing any weight), but it will not reduce the fat.
Try an intense cardio workout 25 to 40 minutes 3-4 times a week on a low calorie diet

Bellieve it or not, work your legs. The muscles in your bum will get stronger and leaner if you work out your legs b/c the leg muscles run all the way up into your bum.
Try squats and lunges with weights. You might also want to try leg lifts where you get down on all fours and square off so your wrists are under your shoulders and your knees are under your hips. (do one leg at a time) Lift your foot towards the celing while keeping your knee bent at a 90 degree angle. Those totally blast the bum.

to be honest the best way is not to go on a diet as ive tried them all and diet pills and they dont work lol but just change your diet and go swimming 4-5 times a week for about an hour each time it tones your tummy and all your body up wonderful too ! i lost just over 2 1/2 stone since may its great and i eat loads too im just eating the right foods but instead of swimming try aqua arobics its great and really fun ! great question goodluck !

with lots of fruit and veg and try experimentimg with all the low fat foods you will be amazed how tasty some of them are goodluck :0)

squats will actually just tone your butt and then build muscle tissue eventually just making your butt appear bigger. when you lose weight though the first place you will lose that weight is in your chest and back area.

IF U WALK ON A TREADMILL THEN DO IT ON A INCLINE..... IF U WALK ON AN INCLINE OR UP THE HILL....the total impact is on ur thighs and butt... and u loose fat around that section prettty fast.... i treid it and lost 2 to3 pant sizes in just 1 month...
in addition to that do strength training exercises .. it helps build muscle... an if u start building muscle u start burning double the calories.... it also tones ur problem areas.. which is important....

Squats! Squats! and more Squats! When you get to the point that you don't feel it anymore, pick up a weight bar, hold it across your shoulders and do MORE SQUATS! Best way to shape the rear. Good Luck!

running might work,it would tone you up all over,try:

lunges
Stand with right foot forward, left foot back about 3 feet apart. Hold weights in each hand if desired and bend the knees to lower the body towards the floor. Keep the front knee behind the toes and be sure to lower straight down rather than forward. Keep the torso straight and abs in as you push through the front heel and back to starting position. aim for 12-15rep for 2-3sets

squats
Stand facing away from a chair. Keep your feet about hip-width apart, and stand up tall with abs pulled in. Inhale and squat down and back, as if you're about to sit onto the chair, until your thighs barely touch the seat of the chair. Exhale and stand back up to repeat one rep. Aim for 12-15 reps and 1-3 sets. Keep your abs in tight to help you maintain your balance, and try to keep your torso as upright as possible (avoid leaning forward as your squat).

cut down on sugar,salt and fat intake.replace suagry drinks with 2litres of water and fruits juices..

start using weights and do squats. that will not only give you a nice little tush but its also working the biggest muscles in your body so the bigger that gets the more weight you will loose bc muscles burn lots of calories
