I learned a long time ago, when there is nepotism (family working together) get away fast. It's never a good situation. Get crackin on your resume.

Sure, you should be annoyed, but tell him that you waited around yesterday for an hour and that he never showed up. What happened? You need his input for doing the project, and that you need his input to keep going. Period, don't get too uptight. Some people don't think anything of it, something may have come up for the guy and he forgot to help you. You gotta reach out, and pester people sometimes, but don't try not to get upset. Sometimes you gotta keep reminding people to help you. They get caught up in other things. good luck!

I agree with you. I would be angry too but since he's the boss's son and your boss you are treading on thin ice if you confront him. I'd say something like "I am serious about this project and I was offended when you didn't show up as promised yesterday." Then leave it to him to respond.

I don't understand. You're doing a project with his son? What does your boss have to do with it? If you were asking for a favor, then you shouldn't get mad.

I would finish the project without his input; if its great, you get all the credit; if it bombs, blame it on the lack of cooperation of the son. Either way, you win.
Oh, update your resume and start looking for a job in which your duties don't include babysitting junior.

the way it sounds he is putting all of the work off on you, when it is a partner project. you have the right to be mad, but don't get so mad that you blow the entire project for both him and YOU!

You need to act like an adult. This is a job, not grade school.
You need to call him and ask him the question. Tell him what you need. Can you walk over to his desk? Why should you wait for him to come to you when you can go to him?
If you're responsible enough to have a project handed to you, you're responsible enough to know that YOU are in charge and even though he didn't come through, you're still responsible for this project.
People in the workplace are going to do that. You have to just get on and stop sulking.

I would let him know that you were waiting for him to show up and that you gave up your time to be there to help on this. He needs to know that you have a life and your time is valuable to you too. Next time wait ten minutes past the time specified and leave if he isn't there.

Keep your cool and ask him what happened with yesterday. Get him to explain what happened. Don't let this go without mentioning it or else he will continue to take you for granted.
