Usually consumer 35mm film has either 12, 24, or 36 exposures. You can bulk load yourself and have more exposures per roll.
400 is the film speed. Consumer film is generally found in 100 (becoming rare) 200, 400, and 800. 400 speed is general purpose film, especially for consumer point and shoots and slow lenses. Hope this helps.

400 is the speed of the film, not the number of exposures.

Usually film for cameras like that has only 24 exposures to work with.

Well, you could always try R-E-A-D-I-N-G the box the film comes in.

Typical amount of exposures are 12, 24, 36. If ordering from a camera shop, you can get other amounts.
