Answer: Iraq is currently a country filled with foreign insurgents that blend in...I say let them move in with Ted until America can determine their actual loyalties.
Ted and company left Millions out to dry and die after they cut and RAN from Viet-Nam!
Ted and his ilk were then and are now, no-good cowardly no-good pieces of dung...Sell-Out America, Our Young Service People, America's Republic...Humanity (one more aspect of existence they will betray!)

No.
Particularly not if Kennedy is running it because he would sabotage any meaningful screening or requirements.
I do think we owe something there, but I think we also need to be careful given the fact that waves of people who hate us live there. Proper requirements to show they would be good citizens here might sway me, but I recently read an immigration related bill Kennedy wrote for the Senate and the hidden loopholes and traps disgusted me beyond the provisions the press reported.
If the House came up with something streamlined and the Senate only gave it an up or down vote, I'd be more persuaded. Kennedy is trouble with a word processor.

As long as they do it legally, I have no problem with it.
Lets face it.. we have destroyed Iraq and created millions of displaced people. The polarization in that nation is so deep, people are fearing for their lives due to their religion, their last name, etc..
We have successfully let refugees in this country from all walks of life.. there's a great chance, these people just want to live a normal life and not live in fear. They cant do that in Iraq.
To date..since the war has started, we have allowed around 700 legal Iraqi refugee's into the US and about 2 million illegal Mexicans. I'll take the legal ones any day.

Fat azz, drunk Ted Kennedy isn't happy unless he's making someone else in this country miserable. We don't want a bunch of Iraqi's in this country, not even they know for sure what side they're on. Good Grief, will he never stop. Since he abandoned ( murdered ) that girl and realized he'd never get a presidential nod, he's been up to no good. He probably hasn't ever been any good, his father was in the Irish mafia! My grandmother called him a rum runner and said that was how they made all of their money. Once a criminal, always a criminal?

Well, it's a better idea than leaving them in Iraq to be slaughtered when we abandon them, but not as good an idea as simply not abandoning them in the first place.
If we aply no other lesson from Vietnam in Iraq (and so far, we've been batting zero in that regard), we can at least try to prevent another 'boat people' type humanitarian disaster.

Kennedy just needs another drink, and another drink. The man is a total idiot, wet brain, and what in the hell are the voters in Massachusetts thinking voting him in there in the first place. If he swings this one, send the hole lot to that state, hopefully his neighborhood, build 2 12' fences around it, and call it good.

If he's talking about the ones who have been working for the US Armed Forces as interpreters, guides, ect., everyone who fails to make it out of Iraq before the US troops leaves will most likely be killed along with their families.
I am impressed that he is trying to keep that from happening if that is what this is about.

simple test to determine if something is a good idea or not. Did Kennedy advocate it? If so then no, it is a bad idea.

Hmm let's see. We go over there and create an environment of terror, dislodging the only semblance of law and order (I know Saddam wasn't exactly a Nobel Peace prize finalist, but he did create enough stability where you wouldn't be scared to get blown up going to the local market). You ask the people to support a new government, risking their lives in the process. And with the "S" hits the fan you leave them hanging? Nice. Yeah I think they deserve our protection.
