She sounds a bit like Bonnie Raitt, but I know it's not her. She has a twang to her voice. I'm obsessing over finding this damned song, but I don't remember any lyrics. I have the tune in my head, but I'll be damned if I can remember anything else! She might be a bit obscure.

2 artists with a twang...Marcia Ball & Susan Tedeschi. If she sounds like a black artist it could be Shemekia Copeland. Without some lyrics or any kind of hints that is the best I could do. In other words, these are some of my favorites.
