In the dream, me and a few other people were in a haunted house type of thing. They had different rooms for different things. We went into the "pet room" and I was standing on the balcony looking down at all the dogs. I saw my aunt's dog [which oddly got put to sleep the day after I had the dream] and I was looking for my dog, Booboo. I ran down the stairs and started petting him and crying. Then I woke up...?

Maybe your dog was communicating with you through the dream!

Also, you can search dog in the dream dictionary on dreammoods.com!

It's such a good site!

Oh yeah...sorry about your dog! =( One of our dogs passed away a few months back. I dreamed about her too. I guess I just miss her a lot and that's why. Or she was talking to me through the dream or something.

Dog
Pay attention to dreams about dogs, as they often bring important messages. Dog dreams that are positive mean that the dreamer is lucky in friendship. A threatening dog signifies discomfort with large social groups. Also see "Barking", "Puppy" and "Rabies"

Dead People
To see dead people in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on. If you spoke with someone who is dead, you will soon hear very good news.

hi,
Dogs in dreams could symbolize a large variety of ideas and concepts, but mostly they are symbolic of the dreamer's defensive structure and may represent personal boundary issues. Carefully consider all of the details and the mood in your dream. First, if you have a dog, it may be natural to dream about him. We become emotionally attached to our dogs and we dream about them just as we dream about anything else that is important to us. Otherwise, dogs could symbolize loyalty and hard work. If someone calls you a dog, it is a negative reflection on your personality. If you are being treated like a dog, you are most likely being abused in some way. On the metaphysical level, dogs are consider to be the guardians of the underworld. Finally, dogs could represent the more basic or "animal" parts of our nature and some think that they specifically represent male energy.

According to Dreamcrowd:

To hear barking in your dream, represents your tendency of barking orders at people instead of asking or talking kindly. It may also indicate that you are annoying others, grumpiness, or fussiness. To see a happily barking dog in your dream, symbolizes pleasures and much social activity. If the dog is barking ferociously, then it represents your habit of unnecessary barking at people and the situations around you. It could also mean unfriendly companions.

Having a trained dog isn’t the same as having a balanced dog, but if your dog knows a few basic commands, it can be helpful when tackling problem behaviors — existing ones or those that may develop in the future. Learn here https://tr.im/Oy0xT

So where do you start with dog obedience training? You could take a class, but it’s not necessary; you can do it yourself. In fact, with the right attitude, it can be fun for both you and your dog!
Step 1 : Sit
This is one of the easiest dog obedience commands to teach, so it’s a good one to start with.
• Hold a treat close to your dog’s nose.
• Move your hand up, allowing his head to follow the treat and causing his bottom to lower.
• Once he’s in sitting position, say “Sit,” give him the treat, and share affection.
Repeat this sequence a few times every day until your dog has it mastered. Then ask your dog to sit before mealtime, when leaving for walks, and during other situations where you’d like him calm and seated.
Step 2 : Come
This command can help keep a dog out of trouble, bringing him back to you if you lose grip on the leash or accidentally leave the front door open.
• Put a leash and collar on your dog.
• Go down to his level and say, “Come,” while gently pulling on the leash.
• When he gets to you, reward him with affection and a treat.
Once he’s mastered it with the leash, remove it — and practice the command in a safe, enclosed area.
Step 3 : Down
This can be one of the more difficult commands in dog obedience training. Why? Because the position is a submissive posture. You can help by keeping training positive and relaxed, particularly with fearful or anxious dogs.
• Find a particularly good smelling treat, and hold it in your closed fist.
• Hold your hand up to your dog’s snout. When he sniffs it, move your hand to the floor, so he follows.
• Then slide your hand along the ground in front of him to encourage his body to follow his head.
• Once he’s in the down position, say “Down,” give him the treat, and share affection.
Repeat it every day. If your dog tries to sit up or lunges toward your hand, say “No” and take your hand away. Don’t push him into a down position, and encourage every step your dog takes toward the right position. After all, he’s working hard to figure it out!

A dog is a symbol for friendship. The reason you saw *insert name of dog here* is because when you think "dog" you get the image of *insert name of dog here*. There would be no difference in the dream if you saw some other dog.

What was your dog doing in the dream? My sister had one about her cat Oz after he died. He was 20 yrs old, had developed tumors in his mouth and could not eat or drink. She had to put him to sleep. In the dream Oz was drinking out of his dish of water and eating. She felt that in the dream her cat Oz was telling her he was OK, he didn't hurt anymore and not to worry. Kat Karma at work.

Dreams come from your sub-conscious mind. All the thing you do in your life and all your thoughts, and thought processes are in your sub-conscious. When you dream, they all get played through, jumbled up and experimented with. Dreams are random portrayals of your sub-conscious mind. So just sit back and hang on for the ride.

Maybe he is trying to contact you. He must know how much you miss him and wants to see you smile again. Dog's are very loyal and will stick by their owners as long as they live and onwards.
It could also mean a lost friend might contact you soon.

Without details from the dream it's impossible to interpret it. What did you do? How did the dog respond? Where were you? Did anything unusual happen?

Clearly you miss him.

Good Luck.
