At first, when hand baggage was completley banned, I thought the airport security restrictions were thought up by a random person from the street.
Now that they have been settled slightly I have no problem with them. It's simple, to make flying safer, buy your drinks and food after you have cleared security, and this will save time for the rest of the passengers waiting to clear security.
Buying those things past security may entertain you for a bit, you may think my life is around shopping for entertainment, but what else can you do in an airport terminal? Wait? Even the telephones cost money!
Although there are the cell phones.
For hand baggage, it's not like your bringing your whole closet inflight, so they are pretty reasonable, and the finally make space in the overhead bins, leaving space under your seat for legroom.
For those security restrictions, they have some benefits too!

I personally have no problem with it. Yes it takes more time but the security restrictions are there to protect us and to keep us safe. I don't mind wasting 1 hr when I fly to feel safer.

Listen, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to stay safe when traveling. If I have to ride thru the baggage x-rayer, I will!
