Then instead of choosing to be destructive and find every reason to attack Christianity......why dont you be better examples of what it really means to be a Christian?

I've been told I'm a better "Christian" than many Christians. Actually I find that kind of strange. Why is it that Christianity is considered to have cornered the market in morality and goodness? Why is living a good, decent life considered to be living a "Christian" life? Am I inadvertently a Christian if I'm a good person? And why??

By the way, I don't know the Bible better than many, Christian or not. What does that matter? Christianity is false on it's own accord. I don't need to "attack" the Bible or the religion itself.

There are a couple of assumptions here that I don't agree with. The first is that reading the Bible leads to conclusions such as "Christians are courteous, kind, helpful, friendly, etc." But when I read the Bible I read a lot of contradictions and see a lot of negative teachings in both the NT and the OT. A Christian is supposed to worry not about good acts but about saving their soul. I don't want to spend any time worrying about the fate of a soul I don't believe exists. So the Bible does not in any way inspire me to be a better person.
The second assumption is that just because we dispute the value of Christianity we aren't also being good people. You consider arguing against faith destructive and attacking. We consider arguing for reason constructive and defending reason from faith. Little time out of my average month is spent arguing religion. It doesn't distract from trying to lead a decent life.

I cant be an example of what it means to be a good Christian-I am not Christian. Nor am I any other religion. But spending your day attacking others for thier own personal beliefs is not what I think of as a good Christian so you are the one not showing your beliefs not me.

So since we know the bible better than christians we should for some reason become christians or act like them? what are you smoking? I try to be a good person but religion or the bible has nothing to do with it.

Isn't being a Christian just believing in Christ? We can't really help in those regards. If you are talking about being a better person, I don't think it matters who knows the Bible better.

I would think an atheist would, by definition, view him/herself as being less of a bible authority than many of the believers.
but more importantly, we are not the attackers. We criticise those who wish to mold public policy around religious belief.
But this is defence, not offence.
(while those who want a christian form of sharia law claim their "rights" are being abused.)

People attack christianity for a reason - they find it to be harmful in many ways.

atheists , look at the bible as if it were like any other document , the problem is that the bible is writen by a bounch of people as a guide, years and years and years ago , the thinking prosess gives us an Idea on how to comunicate , god needs to send someone to comunicate to this new line of thinking we use ,, up is up and down is down , no one wants to try and deside if they meen down this time when describing gravity or if down is something you should sit because gravity is not being descussed in this portion .I don't think God wanted us to be confused ,this confusion is Wrong thats all there saying, we know God ,we all know God , and we all know this confusion belongs to satan......if you can read the bible with out being confused , we all want to meet you because you are eather satan or god eather way you alone can clear up all the reasons we have been making war, CONFUSION

I hope you realize that I think about the 1700 hundred years of unrelenting persecution including burning people at the stake and trials by dunking when I think about what *Real Christianity* means.
Be careful what you ask for!
