I am in the process of "getting into shape". I started working out 4 months ago along with eating more sensible. I am still not where I want to be yet. However, I started feeling better a few weeks into my routine. "getting there" is great, but the journey can be rewarding with many days of feeling good and overcoming the temptation to skip exercise and eat poorly.

Depends on why and how you got out of shape. Usually takes a lot longer to get back in shape. You will have to work at it a lot harder.

It depends where you are starting at. If you are really over weight it can take a year or more. And it depends what you consider in shape. Ripped or low body fat or huge muscles or really skinny. It takes a long time.

It takes very little time to get back in shape if you've already been in shape. If you've ever kept up a routine and then stop, the next time you start you will almost immediately start reviving your muscles. Trust me it won't take long AT ALL.
