Looks to me as if you've set up a couple of Straw Men there. I'm not so sure the Catholic Church is the most logical. But it certainly is one of the simplest.
Do as I say, not as I do.

The Catholic Church believes it is best because it is based on disobaying God and Jesus. It was created in 305/6 A.D. when 30 men got together and 29 of them decided to create it and not to do all Jesus said to. There are books you can read on the history of Christianty, not written by Catholics, that just tell the truth, that records show true. (The Catholic bible is also missing important lines in it. Like the second Commandment.) At the end of the forth century, the first Roman Christian Ceasor ordered that the sabath day be changed from Saturday to Sunday. Because those that believed the sun was a god were having to much fun killing Christians, He also ordered them to include some of the local sungod beliefs so the sun worshippers would not kill them. And for about 1200 years the Catholic church would only read and talk in Roman, so the people would not know what was being said. And scared them to believe if they did not come/believe what they told them, the worse would happen to them.
About 400 years ago Bibles started being written in other languages and people reliized the Catholic church was not honest. So other churches came to be, looking only for truth. A lot more, more recent, are just picking out what they like about it in the bible and leave the rest alone.
Jesus said 'only a small path of people will make it to heaven; with a wide road going to hell'.
Take up reading the Bible and do all it says. Don't skip places, just because others do. Use a modern Bible too. So you can understand it all.

I'm a catholic. I turned to catholicism because I believe that this is where ther Lord wants me. I'm 71 & have been a catholic for 7 years now. I was raised a Protestant, with the beleif that if u r not a Protestan Republican, the u r totally wrong. As for as everyone going to hell, I'm not sure that anyone has a concrete answer. You must search the Scriptures for the answer. As you already know by now, you can read a passage several time & find something new each time. My heartfelt suggestion is that you allow God through His Holy Spirit guide you. I hope that I've beeen some help to you. God Bless you. One final thought. Just because a person is a catholic doesn't mean that he or she is mindless & follows the Pope & other Priests blindly. I strongly believe that our present Pope is trying to take The Church back to the dark ages. IF he suceeds in bringing Latin back into the Mass, I feel that many who have embraced the Church as I have may leave. What will that accomplish?

Nice Catholic. Bad, bad Evangelical. Honey! Did you remember to buy the dog food? Wow, just think. An anti mated version of the Protestant Reformation. Wonder who I should get to do the voice overs?
Hell is the logical consequence of ones character built upon actions that come from the heart and words that come out of your mouth. The logic of Catholic belief has nothing to do with it.
If you are going to point fingers you should at least read the Pope's last public pronouncement about the perfection of his world wide business organization. If Protestants are not going to hell; why can't they get so much as a plot in a Catholic cemetery?
Please get a grip. Everybody thinks they are right, even Osama Bin Laden, you, and even me!
I have lived with and around evangelicals for years. I found and find few involved in the level of accusations common on R&S. If evangelical believing, teaching and preaching about consequences brings up pictures of hell; maybe you need to repent like a bad little Protestant or go to confessional like a nice little Catholic.

Oh my goodness.
You've gotten the wrong story.
Perhaps you should read Vatican II from the Second Vatican Council circa 1964.
Catholics condemn all members of other religions, and
Benedict XVI just re-iterated the Vatican's position and adherence to the policies and beliefs laid out in Vatican II.

I agree that they are more tolerant and loving (therefore more Christlike) than fundies.
Being tolerant is definately NOT the same thing as being logical. They're no more or less logical than fundies. (Transubstantiation and Immaculate Conception for starters)

First of all, you seem to misunderstand Evangelical beliefs; this is called a "straw-man" argument, and it is a dishonest tactic.
If you have to lie about others just to strengthen your position, then obviously your position isn't as logical as you say that it is.

rofl. They also believe in limbo, purgatory, that you have to confess your sins to a Priest, and I could keep going for hours.
No, Catholicism is just as twisted as Protestantism, they're just far more polite and far less pushy than Protestants.

Traditional Catholics' Motto
We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshipped.
If you were right then, we are right now.
If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.
