IT REALLY DEPENDS WHY ARE YOU BEING HIT. IS IT THAT YOU ARE BEING DISCIPLINED OR ARE YOU BEING ABUSED. IF YOU DESERVED THE SPANKING TAKE IT . IF YOU ARE BEING ABUSED DO NOT HIT BACK CALL THE POLICE . LET THEM SORT IT OUT. BE AWARE THAT YOU MAY BE REMOVED FROM YOUR HOME WHILE THINGS ARE BEING INVESTIGATED. THAT IS NOT ALWAYS PLEASANT. YOU COULD END UP IN JUVENILE DETENTION DUE TO A LACK OF GOOD FOSTER HOMES. YOU REALLY NEED TO THINK ABOUT YOUR NEXT MOVE. IF YOU ARE CRYING WOLF IT WILL HAVE LONG LASTING EFFECTS ON THE ENTIRE FAMILY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS HITTING BACK AN OPTION. YOU COULD END UP BEING CHARGED WITH ASSAULT YOURSELF.

Alright....to begin with, NO ONE has the right to assault another person unless it is self-defense. In our society today, any assault on another person, be it a child or an adult, is classified as abuse. If a parent strikes their child with anything, that parent can be held liable as a child abuser.

A lot of children today are not aware of how their parents or grandparents were raised. It was common for them to spanked when they did something wrong. But, that still doesn't make it right.

Too many children are told, in school and by our society, that if their parent ever lays a hand on them, then the child should call the police or report them to CPS (Child Protection Services). Unfortunately, today's children take it to the extreme. Just because a parent tells the child that they can not go hang out with their druggie friends, that doesn't mean they are being abusive to them. Unfortunately, if the child doesn't like the rules, they make a complaint to authorities just out of revenge.

Because of that, some parents are afraid to instill the rules of the home. And, because of that, we now have a generation of children who feel it is perfectly okay to be disrespectful to other people and property.

Just remember children, the abuse can go either way. It is also illegal for you to be abusive to anyone.

From what I see there are at least two options to this question. If this mom/dad/or grandparent is hitting you for a wrongdoing, there is nothing you can do but take the punishment (unless it is leaving marks on your body...then that is not right). I do not suggest to hit back because defiance usually gets punished worse and you do not want that...especially if there is no one to protect you. The second option...if they are hitting you for no reason...then I would suggest to call 911 or to talk to someone in higher authority such as a teacher or school counselor, or a best friend's mother. In that way, it becomes a legal matter. No one has the right to abuse of your body...not even your caretakers (unless used for instruction). Child protective services will probably get called and they will try to get your overseers help so that you can be reunited. :-) I hope this helps. Peace.

Yes you should hit back.I`ve got beaten with the belt almost my whole life.My mom is an abusive person.I defended myself again last year and now she got the message.I don`t understand why others said to take the abuse. It sounds like your not a kid and your getting punishment/beatings that is illegal. My family are crazy. My grand dad beat a relative of my with the belt on her Bday because she was crying for her mother.

Call social services.

Mystic-I got marks but they weren`t bleeding. They look like scratches as if someone scrap me with their nail.I got a cut that bleed once.Abuse doesn`t mean that you have to be bleeding all over the body.People get abuse all the time and there`s hardly an evidence to show it.A punch or a slap on a face might not leave a mark.

If you deserve it then you should be able to take it, I really don't know about parents hitting their kids now and days, usually when i'm in trouble my mom just yells or scolds me, but if their hits go to a major state where they're beating the shi!t out of you and causing great damage then you should call cps or seek help.

and if they're hitting you just for the hell of it, then don't hit back just escape and go to the police or a trusting adult figure like a teacher, or other family member. Maybe your family needs family counseling to resolve some anger issues, or just some issues.
