They're $422,859.94 each. If you order more than 5, you get a 15% gross discount. Take off an additional 3% for cash.
They do have some good year end incentives too, but be careful. The 2008 models have a better warranty and some nice improvements like GPS, FLIR, TCAS and HUD. I would wait for the '08 models to arrive.
Jet packs are really useful. I use mine one weekends to clean the windows on the 2nd floor of my house. They're also great in traffic jams. Just connect it to the roof rack of your car and bypass all the traffic. You'll never be envious of people in the diamond lane again. I also take mine when I hike the Grand Canyon. Sometimes I just get tired after making it half way up and the jet pack really saves the day.

Hi, the Jet Pack (or Jet Belt) was designed and built for the US Army to improve mobility on the battlefield in the l950'-60's by Bell aircraft. The belt was powered by Hydrogen Peroxide (95% the stuff you buy in the pharmacy is 2-3%) and silver nitrate was the catylst. The resultant reaction produced approximately 300lb of thrust out of two nozzles for about 25 seconds. The initial tests were done doing a tethered flight system, but later flights were "free" The Pack was easily controled by body movement and vectoring of the exhaust nozzles. PROBLEM: the Hydrogen peroxide at 95% is EXTREMELY VOLITLE, and difficult to purchase/transport store or fuel. It was also EXTREMELY loud, two things that would spell disaster in combat. The ARMY (obiviously)dropped the project. Bell sold the design to the designer actually, who flew it for several years at the events like the SuperBowl, a Bond movie and several TV shows, then sold it to another company, who sold plans, but never produced any kits. There have been other companies/individuals that have built Rocket and/or Jet packs, but the same problems always occur. Limited Range/Flight times, no more than 35-40 seconds Maxium and the noise! The cost for materials would only be several hundred dollars, but the Hydrogen peroxide and silver nitrate would be very expensive, dangerous etc., even if you could find someone to sell it to you. The plans i believe you can find on line easily. good luck!

For the second answer, they do exist. We don't use them yet and they're in the hands of the government or basement geeks. They also don't look all si-fi looking. But I have seen them on Youtube before with basement geeks that made some of their own.

They are not for sale because they are not commercially produced. They can only fly for 30-45 seconds with the fuel that it can carry and they are totally impractical.
