Lets see; older, wiser, more mature, wild oats sown, financially stable, with the way females and men think you and he are about at the same mental development level, yadda. Methinks you had better keep an eye on your "best friend" as it sounds like she is trying to ease you out of the picture. Anymore age is just a state of mind; and, you should quit worrying about trying to please the rest of world as it will just give you an ulcer. It is your life so why not live it yourself?

If you were 18 and dating someone that much older, I'd say rethink it. But you're not, you're a grown woman. If you enjoy each other, have a physical attraction, and find a common ground, go for it! Speak with your parents about it if you feel that you'll continue to date. If they see that he treats you well and you're happy they should look past the age difference.

Age has very little to do with a relationship once you are at the age you are at. At least it shouldn't. I am older (46) and don't limit myself by age. It seems most women do (like your friend) If she was your friend, she should accept the fact that you found someone that makes you happy. all the luck in the world.

I think you should trust the opinion of your best friend more than random people on the internet that you've never even met before and know nothing about. Plus, nobody on here knows as much about you or your situation as your best friend does.

If you're worried what other people think of you then dump him and get a trophy boyfriend that everyone will approve of. Because, of course, approval is more important than happiness.
