if you are relying on your mom to "HOOK ME UP", then you are not emotionally mature enough to handle a romantic relationship ... which sounds like you are young anyway ... there will be plenty of time for that down the road ... just enjoy being yourself for a while and get to know what it is you want in a boyfriend ...

and maybe if you start acting more mature, your parents will see that and start to work with you instead of against you

It's hard to be a teenager, when you have so many feelings and dreams. Just because something is happening now, it won't be forever, even if it feels like it.

Trust your mom for a while. Keep to your schoolwork & get good grades. After all, when you meet the person of your dreams, you'll need a good job for the person, right? And you want to be educated for your kids, right?

So study hard, and you can date & have lots of love in your life, a little later!

Dating is dangerous. Dating is dangerous because you willingly give someone whom you have no intention of marrying a part of your heart. So, when you do finally marry someone, you have just given them what's left after all that dating you did. I can honestly say I wish I never dated, and I wish that I had never taken part in premarital relations.

Think of it like this: You only have eighteen years to be a kid, to act like a kid, and to not really be held responsible for your silly and/or ridiculous actions. You can be stupid if you want to and your excuse can be "well, I'm a kid so I'm entitled to act completely ridiculous". So, why waste something you have the rest of your life to experience? Childhood comes only once, and when it's gone you don't want to be wondering why you wasted it trying to do adult things. 18 years versus 50+ years. Purity versus damage. Take your pick.

Lookey here home skillet, if ya can't even use proper grammar to explain yourself you are obviously too young to be dating. I have no freakin' clue what the hurry is, listen to your mother. Seriously, you don't need a date, what you need is to enjoy being a kid with a significanty more drama-free life than anyone else your age who has had a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend."

You are a child. there are important things to woryy about, like education. My dad told me one time if I wait until im an adult to date and have sex, I will have more than enough to last me the rest of my life. he was right. Worry about dating later.

Don't rely on your mom hooking you up with someone. Love can't be forced and you can't go out looking for it. Love happens. It'll come to you. Be patient.

Why would you expect your mother to "hook" you up? How old are you? You should date people you already know and trust...especially if you are young.

You can't give up what you haven't had yet...wait until you are old enough to date and make your own decisions...you'll have PLENTY of years as an adult to experience (romantic) love. ☺
