I don't think so in the sense of classifying it as pure water. Kool Aid has all those additives (phosphates, ascorbic acids, BHA, coloring, artificial flavor) the water is no longer pure. Some of those chemicals go through your system and stay. Regular water is like a rinse without the chemicals. Tea has some natural, beneficial ingredients but could be chemically influenced by the sprays or defoliants on the plants and ground. Coffee - ditto. Regular water is the best and it has its own natural flavor. You just got to find it.

Yes but always remember that whenever you drink soda you are also ingesting sodium dyes and chemicals that cause dehydration. 100% NATURAL juices are the healthiest (I say this because some juices will say 100% but if you look at the ingredients its from concentrate) Kool- aid has a lot of sugar in it so your body will produce more insulin to compromise so you get less water to push out toxins in your body. Tea usually if its not completely filled will sugar is a good way to get your daily in take. But water or fruit juice is best by far.

No because the sugar and tannins interfere with proper absorption. The key is it you wouldn't bathe in it it isn't water. If "plain water" is too dull try adding a twist of lemon, lime orange or even a rose or lavender petal (fresh and pesticide free of course). Nothing replaces water but the consumption does not have to be such a chore.

Some people say if you drink coffee it takes like three times the amount of water to replace the actual water. But, I don't believe it. If it goes into your body it's still water. This star is for you because I've been wondering the same thing because I hate water and can go for weeks without drinking it, but, I drink a pot of coffee every day.

It does count some as water, but, there is so much sugar usually and that is not too good. Drink lots of plain water too, and also, when I get bored with plain water sometimes I will add just a lemon wedge squeezed in it with no sugar.

Yes, if you omit the sugar! The problem with iced tea and especially Koolaid is the sugar content. You may as well be drinking soda. Try plain water with a little lemon juice or iced tea with lemon and no sugar. If you absolutely need a sweetner use, use an artificial one...in moderation.

If what you mix if with contains caffiene, the caffiene will actually make you lose up to 150% of the water you consume, depending on the caffiene concentration. You would then need to drink more water just to make up for what you have lost.

Yes it does. You can even count things with caffeine if you normally drink decaffeinated beverages as studies have found that those who regularly consume them do not lose more water than those who don't.

Not really. Why don't you try some of the naturally flavored seltzers? Poland Spring makes some good ones or buy plain seltzer and squeeze lemon juice in it or add a dash of OJ.
