I don't use it because as a cat steps on it and then goes to clean the paw those little bits get in the stomach and intestines and do what they are supposed to do. Clump!! Don't want a blockage I could prevent. Cats are way to predisposed to kidney issues don't want to cause something myself.

some people don't use it because they thinks it clogs the septic tanks.
My old landlord would not let me use it (what he didn't know) because he believed it caused problems with the plumming.
I use it because it is so economical. I toss the scoops in a plastic bag and toss it in the can, I don't flush it.
I have used it since I had my cats 16 years ago.
I think they had brought it out a few years before that.
But mostley anyone I know who is owned by a cat uses the scoopable.

I don't and won't. I had to use it with my last cat who due to medication peed a lot. I was always having to scrape it out from between her toes and I hated stepping on those small grains.
I have two cats now and while scooping would be great, I still don't want to deal with that. I know I'd be combing litter off of Poppy's behind and the constant sweeping would kill me.
I'll stick with the old-fashioned stuff!

I'm soooooo glad someone invented it. It makes it so much easier to pick up the poop and pee. We have a Litter Maid kitty litter thing and it makes it so much easier. Between the auto water thing, the auto feeder and the auto pooper-picker-upper "Oreo" has gone high-tech!

I don't know how long it has been around but I know 2 people who don't use it that live in the states.
I also don't use it because they don't sell it in Morocco! When I lived in the U.S. I used it. I miss it, lol, and I think my cat does too!

Why don't more people teach their cat to use the toilet? Why even mess with a litter box. While training my cat to use the toilet, I used feline pine & catnip to entice to jump up on the toilet & it's flushable.
