Kasey is an amazing talent. If he went to Gibbs I think they would be able to provide him with great equipment and he would be able to show it more than he is now. He would also have great teammates to work with. Evernham just isn't able to provide he with the kind of equipment he needs right now so it would defiantly be an improvement. ^_^ Smiles! Any team would be lucky to have him!

I think if Kasey was at Gibbs he would be doing much better as Gibbs new program this year is much better almost even with Hendrick, Evernham is a good team but just a little behind on the tech stuff involved with the COT and current cars, after Evernham changed from the charger nose on the car to the new avenger nose , Evernham has`nt quite gotten the handle on the changes and because Evernham does`nt have the seven post shaker as Hendrick & Gibbs.
But the change would also depend on crew chief sometimes they can change cars and teams but things take time to adjust to new equipment and crew of the cars.

I think Kasey would do a lot better with another team. Just look at where the Evernham cars used to be in the standings. Now they're way down there.

Look at where the Gibbs cars are in the standings and where the Evernham cars are, and you get the answer.
I mean, even Yeley is having a better year than any of the Evernham drivers!(no offense to Yeley, but it is a bit shocking)
Kasey would do a lot better if he were at Gibbs now, but it does vary from year to year.

Honestly I mean Kasey is going to ahve some bad years..he cant win them all ya know? Evernham is having a bad yr..everone on that team is.Look at Riggs and Sadler..they arent doing the greatest either. This yr he would do better at Gibbs, but he has been at Evernham ever since he started so he is def. commited to Ray and Dodge. This just isnt a good yr.Kasey has had one win this yr...it was at a Busch Race..and only 2 top 10s..out of the 19 or so races.Crazy!! I still love him tho!!

No question he'd be better off at this point in time. It pains me to say that, because I think Evernham is one of the good guys. But his whole team is struggling. I suspect that will change in time, but the RE woes have really shipwrecked Kasey's season.
Gibbs- well that guy is doing a whole lot better with his racing team than his football team. Kahne would be surrounded by world class talent.
"It's hard to soar with the eagles when you work with turkeys."

It's really to bad for the other Evernham guys too. Their better than their performances suggest.

Well Kasey can drive and I pretty sure that his career at Gibbs would be so much better than at Evernham. Gibbs is a top chevy team, with two excellent drivers!!!! I'm all for Kasey getting out of a dodge!!! Then he could tear around in a chevy and really get away from those crazy ol' ladies that stalk him!!! :)

He would be better pretty much wherever he went. Everham is strugggling badly right now, not just in "the Car of Tomorrow Races", but also with restictor plate racing. Every interview with Ray I see he talks about his disappointment in results and how many reoccurring problems are ailing his teams. Obviusly, there is alot of frustration over there right now. Here is part of an interview he did with Bill Weber..

I could see it in his face. Disappointment. Disgust. Almost embarrassed. My words, not his. Not embarrassed about effort, but by results. Or lack of results. It was race morning; Scott Riggs was not in the race. He had failed to qualify for the second consecutive race. But it was more than that.

I spoke with Ray in the garage at Darlington in May. The circumstances were similar. Riggs had missed the race. All three teams were struggling. Then we did talk about his teams. Obviously, if he knew what was wrong it wouldn't be wrong.

"I can't be car owner and crew chief at the same time," he told me in May. "I can't be everywhere and do everything. You have to be able to put people in place and hope you've done the right thing and they can do the job."

Is this a sign to things to come at Everham Racing? I think Kasey would be smart to find a place where he can be most competitive and successful wherever it may be, the sam e decision Jr. had to make not too long age?

I will support him wherever he ends up.....so should you !

Kasey will be good in just about anywhere he goes. RCR,Hendrick,Rousch,Everham,DEI,Gibbs etc. I think what makes a driver good is his teammates. I mean look at Casey Mears this year, after all of those years he's struggled. It really has paid off at Hendrick MotorSports this year. On race day he's running in the top 10-15 every time. Kasey on the other doesn't have that help he needs on the track.

My opinion is that Kasey is at the best place for him. He would just be another driver at any other camp where as Ray has invested a lot ot time, energy and effort in guiding and coaching Kasey along.
I don't think changing would be good for our beloved Kasey. If he had started with another team, who knows where he'd be today. Can't worry about that now, must look to the future.
