i will do wichever technique is better to improve my time.

In track you should always keep your same pace. But it seems like you need to get more endurance (wind) so you can run longer. It could also be that you are starting off to fast and your burning out. I suggest that you exercise more and learn to run at a steady pace. Have a coach watch your run and ask what you are doing wrong. Good luck!!!!

Keep the same pace and speed up near the end. Sounds like you are going out too fast and burning out.

don't start out too fast if you know you won't be able to make it the whole way. start out at a comfortable pace and then speed up in the last quarter mile.

Sounds to me as if you need to change your training. Do some weight work to strengthen your legs along with the running.
