I've got this crush on my best friend... when we first met, he seemed pretty interested in me but when i started acting more friendly than flirty with him, his crush seemed to have turned into friendship... now, i regret being just friends, because getting to know him better, iv realised what a wonderful, caring and sweet guy he can be. i want to be more than friends but am afraid i might lose his friendship. i love him so much! Also, he keeps telling me how a great person i am, that am one of the rare ones to make him smile and bring meaning to his life and n i just dunno how to interprete that.please help will be most welcome...thanks

Well, try being flirty with him again, and gauge how he reacts. Invite him to spending alone time with you, just chilling out exc. If you get positive reactions, then just tell him. Telling him right now could confuse him and be kinda awkward.
In my experiences it is very difficult being friends with someone you feel that way with. How do you think you'd feel when he comes to you and excitedly tells you about this other woman he is getting with?

Meet him on a day you both hold special( like the first day you met) something like that. ask her to lunch or dinner and take her someplace she loves or wish to go one day. talk to him about his life and whats up( anything you don't usually get to talk about.) then tell him you want some guy advise.
tell him:
"I've known this guy for a while and we've been very good friends but i didn't know how. now we're losing touch and i want to tell him how i feel before its to late but i don't know how. can you help me?"
he will ask 1. do i know him or 2. what is he like( if he doesn't figure out its him.
you go a long and tel him 1. its you or 2. ( you tell him whats he's like.)
this should do the trick.

but if you love the guy, just tell him....just say something like "well i just wanted you to know that i love you (or something) and i dont expect you to feel the same way about me (blah blah blah you know that kind of stuff...cause you dont, right?) but im ok with being just a friend if thats all you want" then give a saddish/sexy smile :]

It is quite simple, just tell him that as you make him smile and bring meaning to his life mean you love me and so as I too love you. thats it. and want to marry you.
