I am amazed at some of the answers, for example this answer by the first poster >>>we never said that...In those days there was no incest and it was ok for them to marry sisters...it has now been made illegal<<<
I would do a follow up question, if religion is important and as some claim keeps society moral than why not keep incest legal? After all if god said it was ok to "populate the earth through the means of incest" then shouldn't we "follow gods commands"?

Christians do not say Adam and Eve had only two sons, unless they are really ignorant Christians.
After Adam and Eve came Seth.
And after that:
Genesis 5:4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

The Bible tells us that Adam & Eve had sons and daughters. It only mentioned three of their sons by name. People need to read their or /a Bible before asking simple questions. No offense to the one asking the question, but there are many questions that people ask concerning the Bible that are easy to answer - all you have to do is pick it up and read it , look in the back under glossary - index or other aids that your Bible may have to find the answers easier.

Genesis 5:4
And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
Because the name is only passed through the man, the men are the ones usually named. This is how they followed geneology.

Adam and Eve had other children besides Cain and Abel. One of them was named Seth. Gen. 5:4, 5 says: "And the days of Adam after his fathering Seth came to be eight hundred years. Meanwhile he became father to sons and daughters. So all the days of Adam that he lived amounted to nine hundred and thirty years and he died."
The earth was populated thru sexual unions between brothers and sisters. That practice was later outlawed by the Law of Moses.

If God could create the world and Adam and Eve, I'm sure he wouldn't have any trouble creating children for their sons, with or without a woman.

Genesis said Adam and Eve had many other sons and daughters. It just only mentions the first 3 sons by name.

Christians should not say they only had sons, because scripture itself says that A/E have sons and daughters. We only were told the few sons names (Abel, Cane, Seth) pretty sure they had more than those 3.
And the fact is that back then, so close to humanly perfection, bro/sis relations were not as damaging and was not forbidden.
Think too about Noah's day. He did in fact have 3 sons and 3 daughters-in-law on the ark, and they REPOPULATED the earth.

Where exactly it says they had only two sons?
"And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."Genesis 4:1,2
"Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me."
Genesis 4:14
Who are those "every one" Cain was so afraid of?
"And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch." Genesis 4:17
Knew who? "His wife", not "his mother" ;)

That is a straw man, as Christians don't say they only had sons. However, they do point out that incest was not considered a sin until several centuries later.
