I have asked my ex for my ipod back but he wont give it back and he wont see me..........I am tempted to just go get it out of his car but I dont want to get in trouble....Any suggestions?

The police won't do squat!!
If you have a chance to get it back politely, take the opportunity. Stealing it back isn't really polite, but he stole it and refuses to talk about it.
If you deal with a hard headed dick, take it back. Then if he mentions it, act surprised and say, What? It's mine, isn't it?

Ray J is right. Call the police and solicit their advice. They may escort you to his home to make him return the property to you.
