My first obstacle is that it is an aqua/turquoise is my main wedding color along with light yellow, ivory and black. I am having my BM pay for their own dresses accessories, but still trying to keep it under like $150 and also be able to wear it again. I can't ask them to spill out a ton of money. Here are some pics of my dress (in white) and some BM options.. like dislike why? i want to make sure the BM will look good with what i'm wearing. thanks! *P.S all pics aren't in the turquoise/auqa colors*

Number 5 is fabulous and totally re-wearable. The halter style also mimics your dress while the skirt is completely different so it doesn't look too much alike.

You might want to consider picking a few dresses you approve of and let your bridesmaids pick which one they like. It is beautiful and eye-catching for the girls to have different styles of dresses if they have the color in common. That way, each BM will be able to pick the style that looks best for her body type and will be more prone to wearing the dress again in the future.

Also, your dress is STUNNING! Congrats & best of luck!

Personally (and this is my own opinion) I didn't think any of them would be suitable for your criteria and if all your bridesmaids have different body types...They were either too risque, Too sexy, wouldn't work on all body types, etc...although I did like the 2nd to last one you had on there...

I got my bridesmaids dresses from Jasmine Bridal from their B2 collection. I saw that they had fun dresses that people would more that likely wear again, and i even got them in that Aqua color. They call it Bahama Breeze, but they were beautiful and fit all the girls great. And I had a size 0 to a size 18 for Bridesmaids and they all looked great and loved the dresses. In general I found that the B2 dresses were all pretty "flowy" which will work on all body types since it doesn't draw attention to the lower half of the body.

I would say if you want something they will want to keep, then go with a shorter dress rather than full length, that will make the dress less formal but more wearable in the future. If they all have up-dos for their hair and heels they dresses will still come off looking formal even if they are shorter. This is a big investment for them too. Kudos for thinking of them in this!

Also, to keep the price lower, I went to houseofbrides.com and ordered them from there so they were only 119 rather than 165! I put the link to the Jasmine Bridal website, and the link to the Bridesmaid dress I had, as well as a few others I think might work. Good luck, hope this helps!

They're all nice dresses, except no. 3 which is truly awful. Here's the thing, you're asking the wrong people. Why don't you see what your girls want to wear. Since they're the ones paying for the dresses, let them have some input. Also, I hope all of your girls are a size 10 and under because alot of the dresses you picked will not be flattering to a plus size woman. Personally I like no. 4 the best, however, no one will ever wear it again, of course that goes for all of the dresses you picked. I'm not trying to rain on your parade but I really don't see any of those dresses being worn again. Like I said ask you maids what they want, it's their money.

First and foremost, have you asked your bridesmaids what THEY would like? Why don't you plan an outing to some bridal stores so they can try on dresses that they might like. Let them know that you of course want the final say, but you'd like to know what they feel comfortable in.

Give them some guidelines - decide if you want long, knee-length, tea length. Then decide what kind of neckline you would want them to have - do you want it to be similar to your dress (halter) or very different (spaghetti straps, strapless, cap sleeves)? Your dress is very formal... I would suggest long dresses, but that limits their wearing them again.

To be honest with you... I've been in three weddings this summer, and I will never wear any of the dresses again, no matter how much the brides tried to go with a more casual style. Stay away from satin and if you want them to possibly wear it again.

David's Bridal has some aqua and turquoise shades that are usually less than $150.
I like this one (though it is satiny):

Good luck!

I like most of them but I really would not do #3, 4 or 6.

#3 looks like a nighty or lingerie

#4 and 6 are too poofy for anyone to be able to wear again....

My favorites were #1, 2, and 5. These I could see myself wearing again, even though the color is not something that would really match me well.

Good Luck and congrats!

Your dress is beautiful BUT I dont think any of the BM dresses will look right with it.

With your wedding dress you should go with a floor length BM dress similar to this dress you chose but maybe add a broch or something to the waist to dress it up a little

(the dress is the 2nd to the last)

I love tea-length dresses, but not on everyone. Here's why: short girls look even shorter and chubbier girls look even chubbier. Plus, your dress is so gorgeous and formal that tea-length might not be dressy enough.

I've found that the most flattering dresses on any body type is a two-piece. (More material overlapping the body parts that we need covered the most.)

I really like the pink/iradescent one you have pictured. It goes along with the halter style of your dress and it will cover/hide any imperfections in the belly area.

Good Luck & Congrats on your wedding! I love your dress!

I like number 1 the best. It is definitely something they could wear again and looks like it would be flattering on a lot of different body types.

5 and 7 are good too- as far as the 'wear again' factor goes. (minus the big flower on the waist of number 5!)

Number 4 matches the feel of your dress nicely but they probably won't be able to wear it again.

Choose your 4 favorites. Send them to the bridesmaids and ask them to rank them 1 through 4. Give 1 point to their favorite and 4 points to their least favorite. The dress with the least number of points is the one they wear. This way you chose it but they also had some input and cannot complain since majority ruled! This dress will flatter a lot of girls.

It really depends on the body style of the females in your wedding as to what will look attractive on them. Why dont you take a "majority rules" vote so you know most of them will like the cut, color and cost of the dress? That way, none of your girls can fuss that you picked a bad dress... they picked it out of a selection that you pre-approved. Good luck!
