It should be nice, that is a good time to go---but you can still experience some cold or rainy weather in april. You will want to wear pants and a light jacket. Average high temp in April is about 61 degrees with the average low being about 44.

Go to www.weather.com and put in new york city. Then click on the small link that says Averages and Records. I did it for you just now. Average high temp in April is mid 60's, low is in the mid 40's. Rainfall averages 3.93", less than in March or May. So all in all, I'd say that's a perfect time of year to visit Manhattan. Have fun!

ny weather is UNPREDICTABLE!!!!
i mean last december i was wearin shorts and a t shirt. it was kind of ridiculous...
and your trip is in april. so i guess you will have to wait till the week before your trip to find out.
one year it snowed in april i think
then the next yr it was burning hot.
so we cant really say.

My crystal ball says........ Check when it's closer. April can be unpredictible - it could be 80 degrees and sunny, or it could be snowing.
