Divinely inspired. If we would practice this verse and truly TRUST Him, we wouldn't have the sin problem in the world and the church that we see.
What we do as believers is....when we don't understand some thing in The Bible, i.e. Gods inspired Word, we don't go and find a place to pray and seek God for the answer until the answer comes, and sometimes that may be a while , sometimes the next day. The first thing we do is go read a commentary about what Kenneth Copeland, or Jack Hayford, James Robison, Billy Graham, etc. said.
I love commentaries, but if you do a study about why we have so many denominations it is because we fail to practice this verse. We in the church are guilty of practicing the commandments of men, if this isn't true them why are we so divided. Remember , the very word denomination means: DIVISION.
I think we should put Psalms 118:8 to good use.
Blessings, To you and your A Believer

Sometimes numbers are codes like666 in the Bible but more often they are just numbers.
I've been burnt alot by trusting people without evidence of trustworthiness or even against evidence : nowI don't do that much if there is a real risk of loss of something important. I've never lost out trusting God though.

Only God and God alone can satisfy. People will fail you and disappoint you hurt you and let you down because they are human. Yes it is important to trust in the Lord fully and seek the Lord and keep the Lord first in ones life.
I also heard that even the ones who love you will hurt you from time to time and you just have to forgive them for that.
The Lord knows we are sinners and he does forgive our sins but I am learning that my soul need to find rest in God alone Psalm 62:1-5
This was a very good question and thank you for posting E4G

No, it's a coincidence. The canon of the Bible was decided at a council in the Fourth Century, AD. Had Revelation and/or Hebrews not been included (as they almost weren't), it would have messed up your statistics. Had Barnabas, the Didache, or another book been included, it, too, would have messed up your statistics.
Had the Protestants not thrown out several books of the Old Testament (because they didn't like the concept of Purgatory which is supported by one of them), it would have messed up your statistics.
On top of that, the chapters and verses of the New Testament were divided up relatively arbitrarely much later after it was written.
In short, man is the one who put it there, not God.

With God you will never be disappointed. He is absolutely faithful so you can trust Him
Man however is weak due to sin and has a fallen nature

to rt66it : nothing that has to do with God is a coincidence.
i believe God does everything on purpose even things as simple as the people we see every single day.
as far as this verse goes i love how God does little things to show us He loves and wants to be part of our lives!
